Here, here! I applaud your comments! I've worked in various capacities in health care for almost 40 years and the increasing insidious creep of alternative medicine into mainstream medicine is of great concern to me. I was employed as a health care risk manager for a couple of years and I firmly beleive that the safety and effectiveness of care rendered is of the utmost importance. It should also important to the public but populist promotion of these very questionable practices seems, unfortuately, to be on the rise. What can be done?

How wonderful that a gifted dedicated educator and gentleman has the courage and conviction to expose the absurdity in the cult of alternative medicine. As for $$; I know I would be much more comfortable if I had left the ER and OR years before retirement and fleeced the ignorant, naive, and foolish , of their wealth. Luckly I did not. I don't sleep that well, but I do sleep.
