Gravatar Happy early Birthday to you.
Your favourite rice crispy square!

Gravatar Yup I think getting lots of paint swatches is a good idea. And I think it's a great idea to hang the Sweet Dreams Abagail cut-out up. It's lovely having things around you to remind you of your childhood.

Gravatar Don't forget to add lots of pictures of your honey!

Gravatar Thanks for stopping by my site this weekend!

Redecorating can be fun... and definitely do hang up the Sweet Dreams Abigail cut-out!

Gravatar Actually you're best leaving your selection of paint colour until the end. Pick the things in which there isn't such a wide range of colours first, like rugs or carpet, curtains and throws and then match your paint to them. I know only too well what a nightmare it can be when you've painted your room a particular colour and then you cannot get curtains (or even the fabric to make them) to match. Start with the general colours and shades you want but don't buy the paint until the end =)

BTW it sounds lovely, good luck with all the hard work of doing it.

Gravatar You are so right to claim a room as your very own! It's very empowering to work on, and very peaceful to spend time in. I had my "own" room in my old house - now I have a small corner in the office...lol...I envy you.
If you are putting that pic in there, you already have your color scheme. I suggest lots of bookshelves for displaying the trinkets that make you happy.

Gravatar Happy Birthday a day early!!

All I know is that the ABC's? Would HAVE to go.

I did our bedroom in sage and lavender. It looks very pretty.

Gravatar Try the computer program thingy they have at Home Depot that lets you see how a room looks painted in your color selections.
It's great to have your own space. I did mine very fru-fru b/c I love Victorian stuff, but just not for the whole house. I've got pink walls, pink lemonage ceiling; white lace curtains; cherubs/roses/ribbons wallpaper border around the top of the room; a tea set; a fru-fru phone; white shelves all around. Sigh!
You'll have so much fun, Garnie. Keep us posted!

Gravatar Told you I'd get here this week... I'm so jealous, I'd love a room of my own! Practically speaking I've made our den mine, but it's lacking a major thing... a door! I love the Abigail box, what a great keepsake!

Gravatar I'm so jealous! I've always dreamed of a room of my very own! I'd turn it into a library, with all my books and titanic memoribilia, cozy chairs, and no phones or tvs allowed.

I can't help with the decoratings, as I am challenged in this area. My idea of decorating is putting some color on the wall. Good luck, and don't forget to post after pics!
