Gravatar These are my guilty pleasure books:

Into the Wildnerness series by Sara Donati

The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

I'm currently reading a whole bunch of books but would highly recommend Saturday by Ian McEwan, The Last Crossing by Guy VANDERHAEGHE, anything by Carol Shields, anything by Jane Urqhart (The Stonecarvers is brilliant) and The Navigator of New York by Wayne Johnston. With the exception of McEwan (who's British) these are all Canadian writers (Shields was also American and won a Pulitzer Prize for the Stone Diaries) and they are amazing writers and write amazing books.

Gravatar Hi Garnie!! Remember me? Michelles Weigh? *huge hugs* How are you? Just wanted to stop by and let you know that I'm still alive, I had major issues offline, but have started a permanent blog at mizchelle.blogspot.com Glad to read that you're doing well, come by for a visit soon!

Gravatar That's a great list of books! I'd recommend "The Pact" by Jodi Picoult and "A Girl Becomes a Comma Like That" by Lisa Glatt. Also "Skinny Dip" by Carl Hiaasen and anything by Sinclair Lewis. Enjoy!

Gravatar I second Diana Gabaldon's OUTLANDER series!

The Robber Bride, Margaret Atwood
Cat's Eye, Margaret Atwood
The Other Boleyn Girl, Philippa Gregory
the WIDEACRE trilogy, Philippa Gregory
The Far Pavilions, M.M. Kaye
The Sunne in Splendor, Sharon Kay Penman
Through a Glass Darkly, Karleen Koen
An Army of Angels, Pamela Marcantel
The Thorn Birds, Colleen McCollough
Morgan's Run, Colleen McCollough
Till We Have Faces, C.S. Lewis

and if you have a taste for historical fiction, I have oh so many more to recommend! *lol* Can you tell I love to read?

Gravatar For some light, witty reading I like anything by Carl Hiaasen. Right now I'm reading "Little Women," "1984," and "Wicked." I probably have about 20 books on my bookshelves that are unread (yet) and another 100+ on my amazon.com wishlist.

Gravatar Great list! That has a lot of my favorites on it too. If you can't get into "Good In Bed" try some other Jennifer Weiner. I've loved everything I've ever read of hers. Try Lorna Landvik too. Especially "Welcome to the Great Mysterious."

Gravatar Ooh you have so many of my favorites!

If you love John Irving, read A Widow for One Year.
And you can't read one Wally Lamb book and not the other (when is he going to write another novel???)

Have to get my nose back in a book...I have a PILE of to-reads!

Gravatar Good in Bed is so worth the read! I adore Jennifer Weiner! Cannie's tale is nothing like Bridget's. I think you'll really like it!
