"I'm pleased that he is now
officially on the board."
Now officially on the board? Hmmmmmmm.
If Byrne is referring to Bain & Company, I guess Joyce couldn't cut the mustard, because Bain claims on their web site that Bain clients outperform the market 4 to 1. Hardly the case for Overstock.
Has OSTK outperformed since 2005? Seems not.

Here's a little background on Mr. Joyce. He's got the usual Dartmouth connection, where Patty and Corbus went to school
Says here he works for a VC firm.

My take on it so far is that $617,000 buys a lot of "yes" answers. Perhaps he will chair the "rubber stamp" committee?

From the VC site linked by NSS:
>> he has taken a number of assignments as temporary management positions in startups as diverse as Overstock
The Overstock release says he was a consultant. A temporary management position is not quite the same thing. Okay, Patrick, what did he do?

Why again did Lindsey resign?
There's only one director remaining who was on the board during the time Cruddy concocted this whole conspiracy theory/lawsuit scheme.
Is that entirely coincidental?
