Well to me this footnote sounds like ground work for his leaving. The trial has to be getting close and i'm sure Patrick wants to be front and center. I can't imagine him willing to be interrupted by running OSTK. I'm certainly not a lawyer but Mary Helburn is suing as well and i would guest she would need to explain her ties to Phil Saunders and his websites but i guess she could drop out of the suit. Either way its going to be great watching Patrick tell the judge how to do his job..

Well, well. Looks like John Bryne and I have something in common after all. I have been saying all along that investors in OSTK would have more fun dropping their hard earned cash in a barrel and lighting it afire....
From that AP article:
"At first, Jack Byrne refused to put up any money for Overstock. He advised his son they'd come out better by just piling the cash needed to start the business into a large bonfire. "We'll dance," he suggested. "
Dance indeed.
