Taser investors say stock firms zapped them

Eight of the nation's largest stock brokerage firms are being sued by 10 Georgia investors and 32 others for manipulating stock of Taser International Inc. through "naked short selling," which the suit claims is the latest fad in securities fraud.
The suit filed May 27 in Fulton County State Court claims Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Bear Stearns Securities Corp., Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Credit Suisse USA Inc., Bank of America Securities LLC and UBS Securities LLC violated the Georgia Securities Act, Georgia RICO statute and Georgia Computer Systems Protection Act.
Taser (Nasdaq: TASR) is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., and makes stun guns used by law enforcement. The shareholders' investment in Taser is "substantial millions," said Steve Rosenwasser, an attorney with Bondurant Mixson & Elmore LLP, which is among the firms representing the plaintiffs.
"Taser stock shares should be valued at the fair market price, not a value manipulated by Wall Street firms for the benefit of their own bottom lines," Rosenwasser said.
Uh, Den. That was the subject of the Wednesday entry. And Taser didn't really "pull an Overstock" because Taser is just a bystander. The lawsuit was brought by investors.

Michael Chertoff and his Homeland Security Dept. should explain how with all their 'behavior tech' the Israelis didn't detect that the workers were illegal.Oh yeah the Isreali 'kosher' guys were illegals as well.

Feds: Drugs made at kosher meat plant

Federal authorities charged that a methamphetamine laboratory was operating at the nation's largest kosher slaughterhouse and that employees carried weapons to work.
The charges were among the most explosive details to emerge following the massive raid Monday at Agriprocessors in Postville, Iowa.
In a 60-page application for a search warrant, federal agents revealed details of their six-month probe of Agriprocessors. The investigation involved 12 federal agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the departments of labor and agriculture.
