Ever tried to get constituent services from his office? Last year, a soldier in Iraq urgently needed his member of Congress (Charlie) to assist him in a medical matter. His wife called the district office and they told her he would have to wait 30 days for any assistance. I've heard it several times before - Charlie is no Henry B.
Maybe he's hoping to reel in some $$$ from the hometown telecom giant for his campaign coffers?
AT&T already gives as much as they can to him.
Plus, even though his district isn't as Dem as others are (about 60%), he's Henry B's son. He ain't ever getting seriously challenged.
