I always watch Manchester United matches on RTÉ because the three bitches are hilarious to watch

Chris,

I'll give you Dunphy but the other two? Giles is one of the greatest players to ever play club football in England. Brady was also a legend, one of Arsenal's all-time greats, three times player of the year, and PFA Player of the Year in 1979. Over 300 caps, an FA Cup medal, two Italian Championship medals...........

To list Giles achievements would take all day.

These men deserve respect from all football fans, particularly Irish fans.

Indeed JG.

All three of them are a joy to watch. They say things that would get someone sacked on the brainless anodyne British channels.

One of the best TV moments of the year so far was Brady throwing a wobbler over a video montage potraying Wenger as the "Minister of Funny Walks" - followed by Dunphy winding him up by saying that he was in the editing room when they put it together!!

You wouldn't get Garth Crooks doing that.

Gravatar I would disagree about giving respect in to Johnny Giles and Liam Brady when it comes to commentating. When they played football they were two of the best that this island has ever produced. They are not good pundits. Another person who couldn't commentate was Georgie Best.

BEST: And Beckham has the ball, he crosses, theres that man van Nistleroy, oh its a goal.

That was said by George Best, watching his team, in the same drab, bored tone of voice. So just because a player was quality in his day, doesn't mean that they make good commentators or pundits.

But still, a brilliant day for Man Utd fans. It's been too long since we where in a final.

That's a link to the Soviet National Anthem on youtube, but someone has added Man Utd lyrics to it. It's brilliant. Either Liverpool or Chelsea, the European Cup is our's for the taking.

Gravatar Exactly, Reg. That was a classic.

Seamus,

Giles in a rare thing among analysts of football; articulate, intelligent, with a shrewd judgement and reading of the game. He's the best there is, IMO.

Gravatar Fifty years after Munich, its written in the gods ( all gods ) that Man Utd win it Tevez to be man of the match. Just imagine him running aroung the field with the Argentine flag - Give back the Maldives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark
