Obviously the SDLP are in a bad place but I think merging with FF will only benefit FF. From the SDLP's ponit of view it seems there's little to gain from such a move, or maybe they've calculated there's nothing to lose.

If the poster who goes under the name "Dubliner" is from Dublin he hasn't lived here (or in Ireland) for a long time, it seems to me.
He likes to talk about Ireland but knows/understands nothing, a fact his nice turn of phrase fails to hide. At one stage to supported SF, few months later he claimed to be a member of FF! He's best ignored.
