Gravatar --are they also concerned with attacks that occurred while they were members??--

Good question.

--How does seeking to unite every anti-Republican in South Armagh in anyway advance the Quinn family search for truth and justice?--
You take your allies where you can find them. And you're now saying that McAllister is not a Republican and that he does not want a united Ireland? Just because he no longer belongs to this or that party does not make him less of a Republican, or does it?

--are these the type of people that Jim and Co now seek to stand shoulder to shoulder with?--
You deny that anyone received these beatings solely due to personal beefs with local bosses?

There may have been a reason for extrajudicial punishments in the bad old days. But there's no justification for it in 2007.

I can understand why someone would shoot a rapist/murderer/child molester--matter of fact, I'd be happy to shoot one of these sons of bitches myself if I thought I'd get away with it. But that doesn't make it defensible as a general position that should be endorsed by political parties, especially those in government, right?

Gravatar "You take your allies where you can find them"

Can you not see why the ordinary people of South Armagh are suspect in regards to Jim and Co when they are the supporters behind this group.

"And you're now saying that McAllister is not a Republican and that he does not want a united Ireland? Just because he no longer belongs to this or that party does not make him less of a Republican, or does it?"

He has no interest in Republicanism, his only motivation now is an anti-Sinn Féin one.

"You deny that anyone received these beatings solely due to personal beefs with local bosses?"

Local bosses? This is not the Bronx Phantom, this is South Armagh. We don't have local bosses.

"There may have been a reason for extrajudicial punishments in the bad old days. But there's no justification for it in 2007."

I never said there was, I simply asked if these were the type of people that he seeks to stand shoulder to shoulder with.

"I can understand why someone would shoot a rapist/murderer/child molester--matter of fact, I'd be happy to shoot one of these sons of bitches myself if I thought I'd get away with it. But that doesn't make it defensible as a general position that should be endorsed by political parties, especially those in government, right?"

That is not what I was saying Phantom and you know it.

Gravatar Bobby Dylan:
You really are a fucking reptile. Mc Guinness has give more for the cause of Irish unity than you ever had. Mind you what have your band of dissident assholes done to advance the cause of Irish unity lately. Fuck me they couldn't even whack two off-duty peelers from a distance of a couple of yards!!! I bet the Brits are quaking in their boots at the thought of brave Irish soldier laddies like you!!!!!!!1

Gravatar Maybe he doesn't want to "whack" anyone.

And maybe that's whats behind the rage at the "stoops"--that they never wanted to go out and shoot people.

I could think of worse flaws.

Gravatar I am not saying that anyone should whack peelers. Bobby Dylan clearly has an objection to the republican peace strategy and asks how it has brought us any closer to unity. I am merely asking him to adduce evidence of how those few deluded reprobates who wish to continue war have advanced the cause of Irish unity. I was pointing out that their military ineptitude hardly places them in a position to castigate others for attempting to achieve liberty.
Whtas wrong with tha Phantom????

Gravatar Course Conor gets more votes, and he always will - he's one of Her Majesty's Ministers now
