eBay seller claims certified Kenya birth certificate

Excerpts:
WASHINGTON – The eBay birth certificate saga continues.
The seller claims in the latest post on eBay that the birth certificate contains the name of Obama's mother and father, the name of the physician present, along with a signature, and that it is "an exact copy of the original 1961 Mombasa hospital birth certificate. Includes 2009 embossed seal of the hospital in Mombasa. Contains a 2009 signature from staff that issued this copy with embossed seal." It also allegedly includes a "right footprint."

I hope that the Palins remember that "he who laughs last, laughs best." The joke is going to end up being egg all over the lefties.
Gov. Palin is not destroyed. In fact, she put her family before herself. Good for her. She was found not guilty on ALL CHARGES . . . GET THAT, BRUCE . . . ALL CHARGES. It cost the State of Alaska $2M to pursue these baseless and worthless charges brought on by probably Soros-backed lefties (money that could have been better spent on education and other better causes). It cost the Palins $500K.
I can't wait until all the secrets of MO and BO hit the fan. Because as secretive as they have been, their secrets must be doozies. And their family is fair game now.

Sorry GP but I do not for a second believe they "drove her from office".
She is not a quitter. I listened to her speech today and I've done a little research into this and I think this is a brilliant move on her part.
Parnell won't have to be as worried about blue Republicans putting up a sham candidate forward that would dismantle the programs she believes in.
The office of the governor will be able to do what it's supposed to do...not deal with petty nonsense.
She won't have to worry about these baseless ethics charges piling on her and her family anymore.
She can respond to the plea from candidates in the lower 48 who have begged her to help fundraise and gain traction for 2010 and, I think, set herself up for 2012.
She can be the anti-Obama, free to rail on him at will.
Listening to her on John Ziegler, she makes it pretty clear that she's not one to cut and run.
She's asked us to trust her and that she'll tell us soon exactly what she's planning. And, since so far she's been extremely forthright and honest, I'll willingly give that to her.
Mark Levin noted that as a besieged Governor, she'd never get attention except to respond to the latest potshot from the lower 48...plus of course, any accomplishments would be lost before it ever got noticed here, if it got noticed at all.
I think there are those who will honestly perceive her as cutting and running...which, btw stands in such stark contrast from everything we know about her, so why not consider that something else is going on? Perhaps her word should be taken at face value.
But I also think that she'll have the opportunity to prove them all wrong, lay out her plans to help save our country and perhaps go into further detail as to why this was actually a selfless move in the best interest of her family, Alaska and the country.

Hey Monkey.
The lefty nutjobs (but I repeat myself) are our in droves tonight, aren't they?
It's amusing to see them try to define Sarah Palin as a whinging quitter. The thing is though Palin is not playing their game anymore. She's defining herself as someone who's no longer a target...at least in the sense that she won't get slammed with these ridiculous ethics nonsense.
And she's defining herself as one who will play the game on her terms...on offense, not defense.
She seems excited...and her spokesperson Meg Stapleton was vibrating with energy. I could almost feel her restrain herself from giving away Palin's plans for America. lol
Anyone who thinks she's a quitter either has selective hearing, doesn't understand that she's the type who fights harder when she's knocked around, not run away (sorry GP), or they're a lefty puke (but I repeat myself) who wants to try to set the meme for her.

This is what Pamella Geller said today about Sarah Palin:
This is not a woman who is retiring or "cutting and running," as Hillyer put it. She is getting into the fight to save America. Palin committed herself to fighting "for our state and our country, and campaign(ing) for those who believe in smaller government, free enterprise, strong national security, support for our troops and energy independence." Obama's treasonous presidency has made this struggle necessary.
Palin, like all patriotic Americans, is shocked by what is happening. Obama is destroying this country. She knows it. We all know it. We need a leader. Palin is that leader.

Jeffery | 07.03.09 - 11:27 pm |
What do you mean "prove" my case? Liberals destroyed Palin for no reason whatsoever. None. Her only "crime" was running for vice president.
She never hurt anybody. She did nothing wrong. Yet you people not only pulled out all the stops in destroying her career but you also took special steps to assault her family. You made "retard" jokes about her baby; you made sex jokes about her daughters; and you made jokes about her husband's manhood.
Why? All she did was run for vice president. And for that she deserved to be destroyed? She deserved to be "punished"?
Look how the totally representative liberal Bruce is behaving. He's acting as though Palin was a terrorist taken out by a Predator missile. He's warning us to never again run a conservative! Do you think we're going to meekly accept that? From subhumans like Bruce?
This will backfire, the way the insane hatred expressed here has backfired. All you've done here is strengthen our resolve to defeat you. What makes you think that hasn't happened on a nationwide level? You've lost all sight of what our country is supposed to be about. So has Obama. When the butcher's bill comes due, you're going to be shocked out of your skulls.

I would disagree on one point: Leftists didn't "destroy" Palin. They've made her stronger and shown her who, what and how she has to fight to defeat the ones who want to destroy America.
The leftists are in for the rudest shock of their miserable lives.
And, I believe that Palin stepped down now to give her Lt. Governor time to continue the work she started: and solidify his position as governor and be assured of winning the next election. She didn't want to see the republican machine try to foist some RINO on Alaska.
She didn't quit because of a book deal or because the leftists drove her out. She's tougher than that.
She left to DESTROY the obama reign of terror.

Plus...it really doesn't matter if Liberals think they're better than Conservatives.
The proof is in the pudding.
Liberals pretend to care about the poor and the oppressed (except if in doing so, they'd be forced to stand up for something), use them as puppets to forward whatever issue they want and then abandon them while lying to them and telling them their programs really are helping them after all. They use false platitudes of "hope" and "change" and "transparency" and "fiscal responsibility"...all while they rape and pillage our country, remove any kind of independent analysis of their behavior, lie, cheat and steal in the name of "progress". They demonize the successful and tear down the achievers in the name of equality and they use race, gender and religion as weapons to beat down anyone they target.
Conservatives believe in personal freedom, personal responsibility, respect for life and people from different races and cultures. Conservatism wants everyone to have the chance to succeed...never punishes success and lifts up those who are willing to do their part. Conservatism cringes at an all expansive, centralized government, supports a massive reduction in the tax burden for all Americans and a respect for the law. Conservatism does not put man (or woman) above the rule of law and believes that all people are created equal and all have certain inalienable rights.
Liberalism squanders opportunity...conservatism capitalizes it. Liberalism promises growth and then stifles the entrepreneurial spirit and gives more power to the government. Conservatism forwards ingenuity, gives those with the heart to be all they can be the tools to succeed. Liberalism claims to be strong on security but then provides a weak kneed defense of Liberty, if not out an out betraying her values by surrendering to tyrants. Conservatism believes evil cannot be negotiated with.
True, unapologetic conservatism is the very heart and soul of what makes America great. True, beligerent liberalism supports everything that is wrong with our country.

Does Sarah knows something we don't know yet? That could be possible and I hope I am right. Because the timing of her announcement is very strange. Will SCOTUS finally act? Let's cross our fingers.
Palin will be much more dangerous to Obama as a citizen than as a governor. She will have time to campaign and prepare the next election for Potus that could be (I hope) before the partial election in 2010.

I'll be charitable here and just assume that stuff like this is posturing and nobody is actually stupid enough to believe that Sarah Palin is about to embark on a magical crusade to stop Obama's agenda by delivering poorly-written speeches and floundering helplessly in interviews when asked the simplest of questions.
Ah, misunderestimation ...
Blondie, don't be so stupid enough to believe that simple speech disqualifies one from possessing wisdom ... or to believe that erudition and the appearances of education guarantee it.
The history of the Best and Brightest, such as those now setting the agenda of our government, speaks volumes of the latter ... and leaders from Truman to Reagan to GWB to Gov. Palin personify the former.
You need to get rid of the smug arrogance that believes only those who adhere to the conventional wisdom regarding what it is to be "intellectual" can be wise ... and that those who do not adhere to that conventional wisdom are never wise.
That attitude is as theocratic -- in its exclusive promotion of human omniscience -- as anything the Iranian mullahs try to enforce.
And as foolish ... but then again, you, along with all those Best and Brightest in charge who are making this economy worse and our national security weaker, are proving to be poster boys for Romans 1:22.
This analysis also applies to interviews conducted by the shrewd, yet idiotic, jackals of the Fourth Estate who share your conventional wisdom ... especially when the interviewee is under the guidance of members of the professional political class who are part of the same problem.

Trying to argue with the leftards like Mr Blondie or Bruce is like dealing with an alcoholic; it takes a second to produce a big spout of vomit but it takes an hour to clean it. It is a total watse of time. By the way it has always been obvious to me that the brain of an individual addicted to a Lefist ideology is affected in the same way as the brain af an alcoholic or a drug addict; it renders that individual (and the masses in result) totally incapable of a rational thinking. The sick mind of a drug addict or an alcoholic is entirely focused on stealing other peoples money in order to support his addiction. Equally, the sick mind of a Leftard is focused on stealing others people money to support his parasitic life. A leftoid is a thief in a disguise; the only diofference is that a thief takes a considerable risk while attempting to commit a theft, a Leftoid (a much more cunning and perfidious but equally parasitic being) works on a creation of a socio-political system which will give him the ability to steal legally and with impunity. That system is called "socialism" where the theft is being called a charity or the wealth redistribution. In a more benign form it is called social-democracy, in a much more barbaric and destructive, communism. As the main feature of that system is so called "negative selection", it will always lead to some form of totalitarianism where much more brutal elements take over (from Trotzki to Stalin for example). This is undoubtetly a scenario that is increasingly possible for America as well as for my own Australia. The tragedy, however, is not the evil of Obama and his cohorts but barbaric ignorance of at least 70% of populations of the so called democratic countries. The cretins in the US could have some doubts about the Bush's presidency but the behaviour of our own cretins Down Under is mind bogling. They threw away John Howard, the most succesful Prime Minister in Australian history and elected a total moron. What is worse, his popularity seems to remain high despite unstoppable slide into the gutter. Of course, for the parasitic, sub-humanic species like Mr Blondie or Bruce it is a great reason to be joyful but in the end they will be eating their own shit. In a pre-war France those were the French Communists and Socialists that managed to paralyse the Daladier's goverment to such an extend that it was unable to fulfil its obligation toward Poland and rush to her succor when that country had been invaded by Germany. The French (and British also) Commies were allied with another socilalist and Stalin's friend-Hitler and regarded the invasion of Poland as a "last nail to the coffin of capitalism". Barely one years later, those very French commies became the first victims of Nazis when they invaded France. Degenerates like Mr Blondie and Bruce should learn something from that comparison (they will not, of course)

fred, I don't think Rush has ever sunk to the level of what we see here ... and this writer is hardly the only one to have done so about Sarah Palin and her family.
It is the moral relativism that the Left embraces, that enables these people to sink so low.
BTW, the left-of-center do not make up "over 50% of the nation" ... your candidate enjoyed the support of moderates and even a few conservatives who were disgusted with Republican conduct (i.e. when they acted like typical Democrat politicians). They will not be fooled by the erudition of said candidate, instead turning on him and his party as they perceive the same -- or worse -- conduct being played out at the WH and in Congress.
They won't be fooled again.

Idly speculating, I suspect she may either be positioning herself for 2012 by spending more time in the lower 48 or is negotiating a multimillion deal with FOX News. Successful politicians have charisma, genuine empathy and connect with voters emotionally and intellectually. This is what she does.

Tom W.,
I've done none of those things to Sarah Palin. Not all liberals act that way any more than all conservatives are as morally bankrupt as Gordon Liddy and Michael Savage or as dishonest as Jim Hoft.
Unfortunately, if not tragically, politicians are unfairly criticised, mocked and ridiculed, often personally, in an effort to defeat their policies. Clinton, Gore, Cheney, Bush, Obama, Biden, Kerry, McCain (well not so much for St. McCain), Palin - It's a long list. I'm not convinced Palin's treatment was worse than the others.
Our media are lazy. Their goal is grab attention and audience, not to inform. Certainly we all know more about Michael Jackson and Mark Sanford than we do about healthcare.

I wonder how Mr. Teflon would react if his family had some of these brutal attacks. Oh, I forgot we are not allow to say anything about wonder woman Michelle and the kids. Our country is getting more double standards. Just like the obamacare health bill----the Congress won't sign the bill unless it has the clause that this will not be their medical insurance. Must be great medical insurance for the rest of us.

Your reasoning is: Since it's unlikely that the writer could get Sarah Palin in his bed, he must be talking about rape??? That's not even a nice try. As a strong President Obama supporter, one thing I admire is the way he can -- despite a barrage of unseemly attacks, "viral" and otherwise -- stay clear, focused and calm in these tough days. Governor Palin's resignation underscores what obtains in politics today: The newest kid on the block always gets the most shredding because the concentration-span-deprived media -- and I include the Web and its cheap shots -- hastens to peg anyone "needing" defining. The less well-known the object, the more it "needs" defining, and the more unscrupulous the "defining". It's no coincidence that in the campaign the ones most frequently targeted were Obama/Palin. They were the newest kids on the block, so they got targeted the most. Disgusting, but inevitable.
They're both human beings; one can't believe absurdities like this don't take a toll. It plainly has for Obama (how much older Obama looks today than at the start of his campaign) and it appears Palin now may have also been affected. Hence her resignation. I hope she soon laughs off this nonsense the way Obama has, instead of voicing how non-plussed -- sometimes downright upset -- she feels at every spitball. That would be healthier for the country: just show everyone these spitballs are of no importance the way Obama has. That way, it _would_ be of no importance, since perception is 9 tenths of reality in politics. I'm frankly sorry Palin's not there yet.
There's a reason why a recent survey at a Republican fund-raiser showed Gingrich/Cheney on top (the reason I set Limbaugh aside here, even though he scored well, is because he's a celebrity with name recognition, while Gingrich/Cheney are/have been public officials): the national trauma of '08 has made brains "in" and sound bites -- viral, libelous and otherwise -- "out" -- for the time being. So one doesn't have to look far to see the Gingrich/Cheney blowout at the fund-raiser as a function of their relative intelligence compared to others in the survey. Intelligence is "in". The media, even in covering the fund-raiser survey, utterly overlooked this. Those few who still don't see Obama's basic intelligence do recognize his adeptness at presenting an image of intelligence. This is one reason why Obama won, ultimately surmounting the trivial nonsense thrown at him -- and it's the chief reason why I hope Palin ultimately thumbs her nose at the trivial nonsense too. It would be the final triumph of the importance of substance over sound-bite and slur.
For now, her withdrawal may signify the last hurrah of the power of cheap shots, slurs and sound-bites to make a difference over substance. At the same time, if she rouses herself and starts belittling and ultimately ignoring the sick, viral, libelous stench of the slur and the sound-bite, that may be, for this generation, its final dance over this sick stench's grave once and for all. Not a moment too soon!

You obviously haven't been through "sensitivity training" at work. And you call yourself a sssensitive liberal? Irony! It is, IOW, a rape fantasy, no matter how the sick freak intended it.
Classical liberalism is a different story, but progressivism has always had pathology not far from its core, from the guillotine to 20th century eugenicists. Albert Gallatin (Swiss-Am) ran for senate, but then was found not to have been naturalized. He later served as Sec of the Treasury. The other one was james shield who was elected Senator inm Illinois. then they found he had not been naturalized for the required nine years. his election was voided, the required nine years passed, they had a special election and he won again.

not to mention his racist and anti-American statements

Gina,
If the writer had worked with Gov Palin then bringing up sensitivity training would be relevant. This was a humor writer's essay concerning a public figure. But you're getting off the point you made. How was this rape?
It was shocking and inappropriate but hardly in the top 100 bad things typed about a politician the past couple of decades.
Conservative pundits have run sexy pics of Gov Palin along with sexualized innuendo.
Radio, online and TV pundits have spoken about her appearance as well.

WHY DID SARAH PALIN QUIT?
Indictments are forthcoming.
There's no way she quits because a blogger made fun of her.
There's no way she quit so she wouldn't be a lame duck, and that's a lame excuse anyway. Every pol becomes a lame duck at some point. You don't just quit after a half term because you might be a lame duck some day.
Rumblings on local Alaska blogs: embezzlement, free lakefront house (stolen materials? no receipts or record of payment for anything...) , suspiciously large endorsements for Todd's snow machine racing team (it ain't exactly NASCAR)
Feds closing in...investigations started under Bush administration...huge scandal just under the surface...
This doesn't seem right because it's not. There's more to this than meets the eye.
And Sarah Palin did not give an actual reason for her resignation. She just quit.
Stay tuned.

If any of that turns out to be true, the GOP will repudiate her.
The Democrats, on the other hand, have done absolutely nothing about the kickback artist Chris Dodd, the tax cheats Charlie Rangel and everyone in the Obama cabinet, the corrupt William Jefferson, the lying Nancy Pelosi who accused the CIA of routinely misleading Congress, and the unsavory dealings that the president had with Tony Rezko.
Besides, Sarah Palin was governor of Alaska, which is doing pretty well. Obama is president, and his policies are running the country into the ground. In another year nobody will give a hoot about what--if anything--Sarah Palin did.

Sarah hasn't given any facts either, Patrick.
If you know why she quit then please tell me.
I haven't the foggiest idea from her speech yesterday.
She mentioned Abe Lincoln, bloggers, supporting the troops, fish swimming upstream, her high school basketball team and her love of America.
She did not say "I am resigning because of X". I have no real idea why she quit and neither does anyone else. Read any blog or newspaper today and check out what everyone is saying on the right and left. We're all baffled.

Again, you seem to think this portends the end of the GOP. If Palin--a soon-to-be-former governor--is indicted, it'll be a week-long scandal. Liberals are utterly obsessed with her to the point of insanity. The rest of the country isn't.
While you were screeching in animal glee over this, the feds closed seven more banks yesterday, the most in one day, ever. That brings to 52 the number of banks that have failed since Obama took office. TARP isn't working. Neither is anything else this clown has made us pay for.
Yet you're still shouting "PALIN! PALIN!" I'm glad. It shows that you have no idea whatsoever how to defend Obama's policies, so you and your party are entirely unequipped to save the president from himself.
Just a question: What will the electorate care about more, Sarah Palin being indicted, or massively higher taxes and a lowered standard of living?

A "classic News Dump"?
You mean a classic News Dump like this? And this classic News Dump affected every single American! Unlike Palin's announcement!
But you keep on spinning your web of lies and innuendo. I'll simply address facts!
------------------------
"Preempting Possible Obama Administration Spin On Stimulus"
"I have been tracking 5 departments and one agency regarding their stimulus spending, as reported on the US government recovery website since the first data showed up with the budget numbers. Something very syrange has been going on in this area as we head into the 4th July weekend and the abysmal June unemployment report (see below). For two weeks there had been no reporting on the stimulus spending, and we were heading into a 3rd week without updates as of yesterday.
But low and behold, now that we are into the July 4th Holiday and everyone’s attention is on the long weekend, the data is finally updated for the missing two weeks (through 6/29/09). Some folks in the federal government must have worked late into the night to get these updates out (I did check at the end of the word day as the rest of us who work for the government headed into the holiday weekend).
Why wait so late? To miss the news cycles of course. So the hard data showing the lack of stimulus spending would not be available over a weekend where all the talk should be about failed stimulus spending and rising unemployment. Heaven forbid actual government data be out there showing how the liberal stimulus plan is stuck in neutral doing nothing."

Look at his description of the ONuts. And the cartoon. Priceless!
PALIN IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT! GET USED TO IT!
"The Internet rumor mill is afire with speculation on the reasons for Sarah Palin's resignation as Governor of Alaska.
The usual cadre of deranged lefty bloggers hatched dozens of Troofer-esque theories, ranging from impending "embezzlement" charges (alleged ethics accusation #16) to an "Iceberg" scandal (don't ask).
Eh, no one tell the deranged leftist bloggers that all politicians operating under ethical clouds hang relentlessly onto power until it is clawed from them (see exhibits: Conyers, Dodd, Feinstein, Frank, Jefferson, Mollohan, Murtha, Rangel, Reid, Pelosi, Waters, et. al.).
The left's psychoses revolve around one characteristic: fear of Palin. She drives them absolutely nuts. They have hatched feverish story lines, plots, ambitions, conspiracy theories and "damning" evidence of her inability to serve as a credible candidate for high office. Their inordinate attention betrays their fears.
And recall that these are the very same rocket scientists who predicted -- for roughly 72 months running -- that Karl Rove was about to be "frog-marched" out of the White House."

no they certainly did not, but then again, 'loony left' view Jesus as a "community organizer".. they also expect the 'love your enemy' 'turn the other cheek' throngs they are constantly demeaning to fight their battles for them, and being the 'loony left' always "turns the other cheek & loves the enemy", they have little to no choice but to fight in order to save themselves from the both 'the enemy & loony left', it's a vicious cycle, go figure..

Always keep in mind that the same Creator who instructed us to turn the other cheek (which is different than forgiveness, BTW), gave us a total of four cheeks to turn ... and a brain to know when to change our behavior, before we run out of cheeks.
In his parables, Jesus presented the making of an honest profit as virtuous ... and charity was always a personal affair, not delegated to Caesar as the Left would like us to do.
Unfortunately, when one's understanding of the Scriptures starts with "Where much is given, much is required" ... it too often ends with "we, the enlightened, will set the requirements for the rest of you" ... which is an usurpation of God's authority in the matter.
And JTFM -- Ms. Palin learned something from GWB ... don't telegraph your strategy to your enemies before you execute it.
She has no requirement to answer the likes of you for her actions.

Statement from Gov. Palin's Legal Counsel on Defamatory Allegations
You see, doofus, despite your deeply held wish that Palin's leaving office because she's cowering in fear and running away, the facts thus far seem to indicate that she is in fact changing her strategy so that she can more effectively fight.
She's not caught in the bear trap set up by the left anymore. She's free...and unlike President Bush and a plethora of other Republicans, she does not back down. She does not let go.
So please do continue posting your very actionable lies.

Bones, thanks so much for linking to Thomas Van Flein's statement. At the very least it seems to indicate that the fight has not gone out of Palin.
My own conviction has always been that by the time 2012 rolls around the country is going to be in "Anybody but Obama" mode. Palin has as much of a chance as any Republican.
The problem is that so many people on both sides of the political aisle seem incapable of seeing Sarah Palin clearly. That was never an issue for me. I wasn't influenced by anybody's impression of her.

Kracka...
I really think a lot of people...including our dear GP Jim...have missed the point entirely.
I used the "Br'er Rabbit and the Tar Baby" example above to describe what I see happening.
If anyone doesn't know the story...no, it's not racist. It actually is about little person made of tar. Br'er Fox set the trap of putting this little tar person out in the street knowing Br'er Rabbit would fall for the trick. And sure enough, he did. Br'er Rabbit got so upset that the person in the street didn't return a friendly "Howdy do" greeting, that he got into a fist fight with the inanimate object, and of course, became helplessly stuck in a mass of tar.
Likewise, I think the left orchestrated the trap for Palin to ensure her last couple years in office as governor would be mired in ethics complaints, thereby weakening her in the national picture. Anything she could get accomplished, would be lost in the mire...and the only time we'd hear from or about her here in the lower 48 would be when some leftist slug threw a sucker punch at her. Plus, of course, she wouldn't be able to help conservatives run because again, more ethics nonsense. She would almost literally have been shackled to the governor's desk with no chance of making any real difference either in Alaska or in the world.
Which is exactly what the left wanted, of course. Think Alinsky here, folks. Don't debate your enemy...clear the field. They thought she was contained. Just like Br'er Fox thought he had well and truly caught Br'er Rabbit...and he was right.
But Br'er Rabbit was clever and he tricked Br'er Fox into thinking that being trapped there was no big deal...nor were all the other horrible things Br'er Fox said he'd do..."but PLEASE don't throw me into that thar Briar Patch!"
Now, of course, this is where it diverges a little...because, I don't believe that Palin ever asked for herself to be the target of this thunderstorm of ethics crap. At the same time, however, she saw it continue to pile on and she knew she had to do something. It wasn't in her to sit back and let them beat her down and it certainly wasn't in her to not fight back at all. But she was trapped by her title.
So...she threw herself into the Briar Patch. And now she has the freedom to fight. She's not stuck in the muckety muck of red tape and baseless allegations. She can travel and campaign with and raise money for herself and any other conservative candidate.
I think if anyone really reads or sees her speech with the understanding that she does not quit...EVER...they'll see that rather than walking away, she's changed not only the rules...but the game itself.

Bones, your analysis is totally valid. The only remaining question is whether or not she can convince the GOP establishment to ever let her get near the nomination in 2012, no matter how well she's doing with the public.
She represents almost as much of a threat to the GOP as she does to the Democrats. Look at all the entrenched interests on our side, too. Plus, the GOP intelligentsia hates her for not being an East Coast elite. My feeling is the Republicans will sabotage her at all costs. They still seem clueless about returning to the core of conservatism that when explained correctly always wins votes.
What I want her to do is not run for president but expose the rot in the entire American political system, on both sides. Become a gadfly that won't go away or shut up. I'm a big advocate of telling the truth and letting the chips far where they may. John Bolton does that.
Whatever happens, I think the country will be ready to dump Obama by 2012. My fear is that the GOP will blow it by giving us Romney or Huckabee, which will be perceived as just more of the same, which in turn will not inspire people to go out and vote.
At any rate, I've been so disgusted by politics in general that I'm no longer emotionally involved. I'll still vote, but it's hard to get fired up when both parties are more about serving their own interests than ours.

oh man, did anyone ever think that maybe the select few who resort to name calling tactics (which is basically the only ammo for the republican party, btw) are not ones with whom most liberals identify? like, maybe the huffington post ISN'T the leading liberal blog?? You know what I'd like to see? An article explaining why Sarah Palin is actually qualified to be a politician. All I read is articles written by the right crying about how she gets attacked all the time in the media. Wouldn't it show a bit of dignity to actually write an article about her redeeming qualities and why you think she'd actually make a good president?... instead of just sobbing all day about the huffington post? Oh. Right. She's never shown even the smallest iota of intelligence or qualification. So I guess writing that article would be impossible. Maybe that's the origin of all the hilarious retard jokes..
