P.S. Jim ... seems like you may have too many widgets on site? (Or I need a faster connection?). Kinda boggy/slow lately.

I am sick after reading this link, even though I knew this is what Obama planned to do.

http://thelastcrusade.org/2009/0...sus-–-part-two/

"Those who count the vote decide nothing. Those who count the voters decide everything.

Joseph Stalin

It will determine which states gain seats in Congress and which ones lose them.

It will divert billions in federal funds to states and cities with the greatest number of illegal aliens.

It will support the conviction that America has become a bi-lingual country.

It will allocate of billions of taxpayers’ dollars to special interest groups, such as NAACP, Fundacion Azteca, Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Push Coalition, and Acorn.

The dice have been loaded.

The results of the 2010 Census will be snake-eyes for the conservatives, Christians, and Caucasians who now inhabit the once fabled land of the free and the home of the brave.

Last February, Mr. Obama assumed complete control of the 2010 Census in sharp violation of Article 1, Section 2, of the Constitution.

This Article, which concerns the legislative rather than executive branch of government, stipulates that the “enumeration” be conducted by a commerce official under the supervision of the Senate and the House of Representations. It reads:

Representation and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers … . The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they (the House of Representatives and the Senate) shall by Law direct.

When the Oval Office side-stepped this stipulation, Senator Judd Greg, who was then Mr. Obama’s choice as Secretary of Commerce, announced his withdrawal from consideration.

“This was simply a bridge too far for me,” Mr. Greg said."

Continue to read the rest. For those who think Obama will get the boot out of office in the next election, think again; Obama has no plans of leaving, and he is currently making every effort to make that a reality. Just take a look at his support of the Honduras leader who was just thrown out for trying to force his way into another term in office. If this isn't a wake-up moment, I don't know what is. People need to get Obama out of office A.S.A.P.

If Obama is allowed to get away with violating the Constitution, especially in Article 1, Section 2, America as we knew and loved her will be finished.

Yes, we will all mourn her.

Deadbeats whining about paying taxes?

Do you expect that to become a "movement?"

Seems to me it's been going on for a long time and it's created quite mess. Why would you expect more of the same to be of concern to a rational person?

Gravatar Of course they are and the Whiners don't understand they're the product of policies they're begging to have restored.
Joe Steel | 07.03.09 - 10:02 pm | #

No, you poor, simple, ignorant obot. They're the product of the policies and profligacy of the past six months -- and we want to get *away* from them and back to some sort of restraint.

You really don't have any understanding of economics, do you? You and the rest of the obots think that all you have to do is wish and want hard enough, and everything will work out just the way you want it to.

Do you even realize that, if you aren't already one of the "friends of obama (foo) and safely ensconced in a position of power at this time, you are nothing but cannon fodder. You're EXPENDABLE, joey. You're as worthless as a piece of gum on the sole of d'ohbama's shoe.

If your obamassiah stays in power and enacts all that he has planned for this country, what you have right now is all you'll ever have. You are - right now - as rich and powerful as you'll ever be. And I don't think you've got squat, joey. (You'd better take care of whatever you may have. It'll be all you'll ever get.)

Gravatar I'll make my own tea party later today, when I get home from work.

And now I'm off to work!

Gravatar Andreas K.--->You really don't have any understanding of economics, do you?

Obviously, more than you.

No one can take a good economy to the crisis state we have now in just six months, especially with an obstructionist opposition in place. Not even a Republican could screw it up this badly in that short a time.

No, this disaster has been brewing since 20 January 1981 when The Great Snake-oil Salesman took-over. He sold voodoo economics to the intellectually deficient such as yourself and the slide to the bottom was on. Now we have a monster of a mess and it's going to take more than a few bottles of feelgood to restore the American economy.

Have patience, dumbass, the Obama Restoration is going to take some time.

Gravatar Ah, so you're shifting from "It's all BUSH's fault!" to blaming Reagan for it.

As for intellectually deficient, Andreas K lives in Austria.

Gravatar Joe, Joe, Joe...I fear that you may even believe that crap you're spouting. Even the person for whom you're named, a totalitarian like your idol Obama, found that a country is difficult to control. If you really believe that Obama has any plan other than his own enrichment, I have some beach front property in Colorado that I would like to give you a chance to make an offer.
The U.S. will not survive long enough for Obummer's economic policies to work. The last generation proved that communism doesn't work. Go read your history.

Gravatar Patrick Chester--->As for intellectually deficient, Andreas K lives in Austria.

So?

Famous Austrians:

Adolf Hitler
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Ludwig von Mises

Not impressive.

Gravatar Patrick Chester--->Ah, so you're shifting from "It's all BUSH's fault!" to blaming Reagan for it.

Only because The Great Snake-oil Salesman started us along the road to destruction.

Gravatar And January 20,1993 to January 20, 2001 had no impact? I don't get you liberal tools.

Gravatar Joe wrote to Andreas K.
He sold voodoo economics to the intellectually deficient such as yourself and the slide to the bottom was on.

Odd, I didn't know Reagan had anything to do with the Austrian economy.

...and what a wonderful way of proving your point: by repeating teh NARRATIVE!™

Gravatar Brian227--->And January 20,1993 to January 20, 2001 had no impact? I don't get you liberal tools.

Clinton hardly was the person to save us from conservative economics. NAFTA, for one thing, was disaster for the American economy. TANF, while not strictly an economic policy, had the effect of flooding the market with cheap labor. Both worked against the health of the American economy.

Gravatar Patrick Chester--->Odd, I didn't know Reagan had anything to do with the Austrian economy.

Odd. I never said he did.

Gravatar Joe, so enlighten me on Liberal economics... what exactly is Liberal economics? And explain how taxing pretty much everything is a good thing?

Gravatar Joe Steel:

Why are you here? Do you really think you are going to persuade anybody? Or is it you just feel like being a irritant?

We get it, you think all things conservative are bad, all things Obama are good.

We understand your position. You think we're nuts; we know you're nuts. If you are so certain Obama's brand of fascism is going to win the day why don't you just go away and celebrate with like-minded fools?

Gravatar Patrick Chester--->Odd, I didn't know Reagan had anything to do with the Austrian economy.

Odd. I never said he did.
Joe Steel | 07.04.09 - 10:10 am | #

Never said that you said that. You did, however, tell an Austrian that he'd fallen for Reagan's oh-so-icky "voodoo economics" which is rather odd.

But then, I doubt you keep track of who's who in this comments section so you probably mistakenly assumed Andreas was an American.

Gravatar Jeff--->Joe, so enlighten me on Liberal economics... what exactly is Liberal economics?

If you have to have a guiding principle for "liberal" economics, think of it as equitable. A "liberal" economy is an economy managed to ensure everyone has an equitable share of the nation's resources.

Jeff--->And explain how taxing pretty much everything is a good thing?

The only way to ensure equity in economics is with government and the life-blood of government is revenue. That's why the US Constitution includes the power of taxation among the first of the so-called enumerated powers. Taxes, in addition to being useful tools of policy themselves, provide the revenue to fund government programs which implement the policy developed by Congress.

Gravatar Patrick Chester--->You did, however, tell an Austrian that he'd fallen for Reagan's oh-so-icky "voodoo economics" which is rather odd.

No, I didn't. I said "intellectually deficient such as..." That doesn't mean him, specifically, but those like him.

Gravatar Joe Cano--->Why are you here? Do you really think you are going to persuade anybody? Or is it you just feel like being a irritant?

Good point. An excellent point.

Every morning I listen to Jamie Allman's show on KFTK, which is to say it's on but I don't hang on every word. Within the last week, he's been lionizing Dave McArthur for his whining about Cap and Trade and the increase in his costs it would bring. I find that whining irritating and outrageous so I came here to comment on it (separate thread.) I would comment on Allman's KFTK blog but I think he's banned me because of some umpleasant comments I made about Condoleeza Rice last year. This site was the next choice because occasionally the operator is on Allman's show.

I stopped by this thread because I noticed Dana Loesch's picture. She *really* irritates me. She's all over the net but, as near as I can tell, won't accept comments except on her "Mother of All Conservatives" site. I can't qualify for that place.

Gravatar "If you have to have a guiding principle for "liberal" economics, think of it as equitable. A "liberal" economy is an economy managed to ensure everyone has an equitable share of the nation's resources."

That sounds a whole bunch like Karl Marx. Are you telling me that liberal economics and companion obamanomics is really communism?

I think we've all known this, but you're the first Obamanite who I've heard admit it. Thank you for your honesty even though it betrays you economic naivete.

Gravatar redneck--->That sounds a whole bunch like Karl Marx. Are you telling me that liberal economics and companion obamanomics is really communism?

Would that it were so.

Obamanomics isn't even close to my "liberal" economics let alone communisim. At best, Obama is a middle-of-the-road opportunist who gives just enough to each side to maximize his opportunities. By no stretch is he communist, a socialist or anything close them.

As far as the relationship between my "liberal" economics and communism, they're not close. I wouldn't mind if they were but the political reality of the American political-economy won't allow it. Sadly, American communism remains a shining city on a hill; a goal; a destination too far away to plan for the arrival with any certainty.

Gravatar Joe,
I don't deny Government programs can be good and they do need to be funded and that is through taxation, however what the tea parties are about is the waste and corruption in the Government.

you say equity in economics as if that is what everyone should believe, i don't believe in redistribution of wealth it's wrong, and doesn't serve any purpose except in breeding mediocrity.

I don't understand how you can trust the government to do the right thing, after years of both sides screwing things up. it's men in power being corrupted by that power, yet we give them more and more power each day.

Gravatar Joe Steel

Are laws of economics different in Austria? Obama's math is. He gave rise to a tax rate below zero. He thinks it is a success to spend $300,000(the start up cost of a subway)to create 1 job. Nearly half of these new jobs will pay no taxes at all and nearly all are teporary. Some, such as the census jobs ,were already budgeted in the previous administration. Many construction prodjects were going through without stimulas money. Do the math, the payrole taxes of jobs created won't pay the interest on the loans funding it. Even Obama admits that the surviving private sector will pay for it, not the new jobs. Regan inherited an Obamaesqu government from Carter and the economy has done better untill now. In fact, the market instability of late dates to when Obama and his comrads entered national politics. Obama's political home state of Ill, is burried in the red ink his political activities helped creat. They arn't much behind California in budget problems. In fact, look at all of the liberal states. All of them have higher unemployment and budget short falls. Now those states are going to feed their money addiction off the backs of other better ran states in the form of bail outs. Mr. Steel we understand you anger, we share much of it, we just understand the problem better. I know that you respect your professor, but his choice of profession should give you an idea of his failers in the real world. He lives in a world of theareticals, as do you. That is why most liberals of the 60's became the conservatives and moderates of today. The elderly of today were once Roosoveltian liberal progressives. Only a small fraction of those old progressives cling to their failed ideas in the isolation of the educational system's microverse. For the rest of us, age brings wisdom. One day when you get tired of supporting every one else, you will understand. Don't let youself become one of those broken down bitter old acidemic failers.

Gravatar right hand,

I have nothing to add to that.

Gravatar Jeff--->...the tea parties are about is the waste and corruption in the Government.

I don't think so. The Whine Fests were being promoted to gullible wingnuts by special interests who have much to gain by tax reduction. While they may include so discussion of other matters, they are designed primarily to promote tax preferences for the rich.

Gravatar Forget, please, "conservatism." It has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson's Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:

"[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth."

Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).
