My very first church that I attended after our Triune God saved me was very much influenced by Benny Hinn. They even brought him to town to conduct his services. I ran the sound equipment for two of those services, and was an usher in another. The moment he raised his hands in that service that I ushered and proclaimed that he was giving power to the ushers to heal... well, that was it for me. That was in 1981. Bottom line: watch out for that guy.

Yikes, Mark! I know Justin has been to 8 B.H. crusades for research. He also did his thesis on the man, plus particiapted in a Canadian documentary about him. He is certainly an expert on B.H.
One of the things that has really stuck with me, that Justin said, is this: The main tactic, if you will, that these type of false teachers employ is that they seek to divorce God's people from God's Word, getting them to solely rely on 'them(the false prophets)' for their spiritual teaching, etc.
Scary stuff.
