I live in this itty-bitty (but nice) townhouse with my husband and kiddos and we pay entirely too much money every month for people to come and do all that work for us (well - for everyone in the development really).
Left to myself, I'm not confident *at all* that I would ever acheive a YOM.

Actually we have someone come mow and weedeat. Roger just cannot do that sort of work anymore, due to his degenerative disk disease. The first spring we lived in the house, we had it nicely landscaped, and since then we try to maintain it ourselves the best we can. Then I'll have someone come out every once in a while for a thorough bush cutting and such. And our backyard is surprisingly small - easy to keep.
I absolutely cannot stand a weed! I keep the flower beds pretty well maintained - I tell myself I'm just gonna pull a weed or two, and before ya know it I've been at it for an hour. 
BTW, I haven't been *trying* to get YOM; we just joke about the fact that we SHOULD! Especially when I compare my house with the houses who have won.
Nicely done Gayla! That is exciting that the hard work sometimes pays off We will be in touch soon, we would definitely like to set up some times to get together.
