Musings from the Bar Stools

must have taken a wrong turn on the internets cause I see optimism, this can't bebthe WSB

This is the Michael WSB, not the Chris/steveegg/ESK WSB.

If we were in charge, we'd be making gagging noises right about now and wondering whether the Cards will catch us for 3rd.

And I'll take that bet.

Not I

At least the Brewers got out of the way just in time for the NFL season.

The Crew fired the wrong manager yesterday, BTW.

Dammit; I forgot the </sarcasm tag in the middle of the last.

we're the mets of last year

doesn't take much for me to lose my optimism

At the Mets finished 2nd in the East last year.

Dammit; I'm too far out of it. "At 'least' the Mets finished 2nd..."

So what is all that optimism getting us

Melvin and Yost have to go

Even Rock is sounding like a fair weather fan starting to call the Chokers oops I mean the Brewers out.

I see Meyers no hitter is intact also

time to go watch football

I love hardicourts quote...fielder and braun looked like they were going up there swinging for the sake of swinging...they're just utterly LOST at this point. I've not been a yost basher to this point...but you have to depend on your manager at some point to lead you out of these things...and at this point I think they're past the point of no return.

what has a month of overbearing insufferable pessimism gotten us?

When Rock begins to not toe the company line, you know it's gone south.

At least football is coming into its own for me.

"What has a month of overbearing insufferable pessimism gotten us."

It's always good or a shorter fall than the overly optimistic when they miss the playoffs. Although, if they pull it out you'll enjoy it more.

There's a reason why we're called "fans" instead of "logs".

whatever...I know it doesn't help but it just seems foolish to sit here and say "go gettem boys...no worries, we'll come out of it...still have a lead..." when everythign I know is telling me they are in the midst of a choke job of epic proportions and I'm just incredibly disapointed that a season that had so much promise at one point is going to end so horribly.

Quick gamble; how many runs come across with bases loaded and 2 outs for the Phils?

i'll say 3

There's 1.

If you're thinking about a face-"saving" 2nd, the Cubs are up on the Astros.

At least True Blood and Entourage will be on soon.

At least I busted the .500 barrier today. I think that's my first winning play in 2008 (not the season, the year).

And one is the winning play today.

I'm history; hopefully Yost will be following me.

The drive to 85 is alive.

Choke. It's the real thing.

fuck

Lie of the night from Brian - "The Brewers are still within striking distance". The last time they scored at least 6 runs was the 31st against Pittsburgh.

Where's Shit, Damn, and Hell?

This team just might have quit on this season. Ugly.

heh. They're coming

my fantasy team quit on me

bitches

I'm no longer undefeated in any league. Of course, the two teams that lost last weekend came back nicely (despite one of those teams having Carson Palmer starting for the second week in a row).

Probably because you're a fantasy players' manager.

I forgot to ask about them.

Woo hoo! A run!

Are you kidding me? Zambrano has a no-no going against Houston at Miller?!

yawn. brewers scored a run

well, that was embarassing

But hey no long faces we are still tied for the Wild Cards right

All is well everything is coming up Sunshine and Kittens

Come on all you Blind faith types tell me how everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about

A split a fucking split was all they needed

Sigh

i get to be sad, you get to cheer the Brewers loss cause you were right. You decide which is better.

Weird. A no-no in Milwaukee, and the Brewers weren't involved.

We will never get those Cub fan cum stains off the carpet lol

Ugh. The bond Cub fans have with this joint is going to be even stronger now.
