There is a reason Branyon is playing at Nashville no MLB team thought he was good enough to be on their roster.

While keeping in mind that I support your position and think Russ should be up, I should point out that his BABIP down in he minors this season is currently .467.
That is because everything he hits is going for extra bases Paul.

Bring him up he is the classic AAAA player he will rarely connect when he is hitting in the show. Past history shows that.

His terrible, rarely connecting disaster of a career OPS is .805. How pathetic.
He's historically been a three-true-outcomes monster, and has been very undervalued.
For the record he has 11 doubles and 22 singles, so you have a point. He's mashing line drives. So you've got a point. His BABIP isn't so bad considering that.
Clearly I don't think he's going to continue the torrid pace he's on but he will also be much better than .536 OPS against righties.
Plus, down a run in the ninth with a righty closer on the mound, wouldn't you prefer to see The Muscle to Juan Pierre Gwynn?

Plus Branyon never hits 3 run homers he hits solo shots in games that are already decided that is why I hate him so much
I don't know why you always make me bring up his fantastic stats with RISP, but you inevitably trust your memory more than the score book.
Braun has hit a bunch of solos this year, he sucks too.
