I am afraid it may be that Yost's job is safe. After all, once Sabathia and Sheets are gone via free agency, the Brewers have a built-in excuse for losing next year. That could very well mean Yost's job is safe for two more years.

Wonder what effect that will have on season ticket sales. Two late season collapses, losing your top two pitchers to free agency (one of which you traded one of your top prospects to get) plus retaining the idiot manager who presided over the late season collapses.
