I got really upset last nights with some of the comments on JS about Butch. Yes, Butch rolled a shocker last night, but does our memory really only last us one game? Certainly Butch did not live up to a McDonalds All American potential, but the playground courts across the country are littered by former McDonalds All Americans that were non factors in college.

Butch was a good player for UW. I'll chose to remember the 3s he buried, the way he dominated Pitt at the Kohl last year and his bank shot to beat IU in Bloomington this year.


This was a very good year for this team and it sucked that they went out this way, but what are you going to do when you run into a team and a player who cannot miss? It's somewhat ironic that we probably would have been better off playing #2 seeded Georgetown.


We are going to have a lot of questions before Novemember- who is going to play the 5?, will we have guard depth? can Hughes and Landry take their games to the next level or will they continue to be streaky? and can any of our seldom used freshmen (from this year) step up and be major contributors?

Right now, you have to like the Badgers to finish somewhere in the top 4 of the Big 10. Also, we'll have some fun home games against Texas and probably one of UNC/Duke/Clemson who could all be top 10 teams next year.

The Badgers did have a great season. The exceeded almost everyone's expectations and they proved once again that this program has a bright future.
