I think you don't give us enough credit. We HAVE done something. Maybe not enough, maybe the wrong things, but the fact that 4 years later there hasn't been another attack (and I know, it could come tomorrow), is evidence of something. Because the terrorists would much rather blow something up here and kill a bunch of Americans than anywhere else in the world.
No matter how long the evil may terrorize us, it will eventually crumble before our goodwill.
