Well, I've been trying to figure out if I was Rep. or Dem. and neither fits the bill. Libertarian sounds just like me (although I do not have a gun I strongly believe it is my right to have one if I want!).
So when do we actually start reducing government???

This was great. You couldn't have said it better. I'm a die hard Libertarian, and a member of the party. I can't wait to start reducing the giant of a government we have today. Yet sometimes I wonder if there are enough of us to do so.

Great post, I'd like to read the difference between a Libertarian and a Conservative next!

Amazing as it seems, there are people who can't tell the difference between liberalism and libertarianism. Moonbat Bill Maher, for example, has called himself a libertarian, probably on the grounds that he'd like drugs to be legal.

"So when do we actually start reducing government???"
As soon as we find a way to remove those in power and put in one of our guys!

this helps me distinguish between a libertarian and a liberal....
but it's too bad this is such a libertarian-biased viewpoint that denounces liberalism

Wow, what is this load of shit? I didn't even get past the first few, for those of you who read through the whole thing, take a step back, and fuck your own face. You too, author.

Well, as long as you remember that "liberal" in Europe actually means "libetarian" and the word "libetarian" means something other than in the U.S.
When you read a Danish newspaper and the journalists are refering to something in the U.S. they often forget to distinguish between the words, so you can sometimes get pretty confused about American politics

This is a really bad list. Why don't you research "classical liberal".

Your summation of Libertarianism is completely off base. Might I suggest reading more Ayn Rand, who said.

This is so biased it's not even worth reading. I did read it, though, even after the offensively condescending introduction. Thanks for nothing.

As a conservative, I like this site. I believe libertarians and conservatives are very close as brothers in arms. We conservatives and libertarians need to work together.
