Gravatar How do we reign in Israel and make them comply with international law?

And how do we get the United States to stop backing them, financially and militarily?

I think the public needs to start asking these questions, and don't stop asking until we get satisfactory answers.

Gravatar I was just going to go sunbathe and take a swim -- guess not, going to watch this instead. Peace Nate.

Gravatar Dude, hope you don't mind me embedding this same video on my blog (h/t to you of course)

I agree that it's important and everyone should see this..

Gravatar [deleted] If you want to post this kind of revisionist nonsense, then grow some balls and quit being anonymous. Every poster above who's intelligence you tried to insult has a valid email address and their own blog where you can go interact and read their views on the things.

If you don't have the chutzpah to stand up and be recognized then your Pro-Israel, Anti-Arab blanket statements and comments are not welcome here. You haven't even watched this movie as is evidenced by the complete lack of insight in your comments yet you insult it's very premises and call it "propaganda". This movie interviews Rabbi's, former leaders of Israel, former sr. officers of the IDF, journalists, peace activists etc. It documents and backs up with examples everything it asserts.

From the comments I'm reading from you over at C&L, you smell like a paid AIPAC spin doctor.

Grow some balls and you'll be free to interact here. Until then, you're just a noise machine and I'm officially 'muting' you.

Gravatar Neurophius - if you get here, I'll be around this evening...

Gravatar Hey, I'm a vociferous critic of Israeli foreign policy, but wow did this video tilt toward criticism of Israel. Why frame Sabra and Shatila as explicitly an Israeli crime, when that was simply not the case? All of those murders were Phalangist (Christian) murders---this is not disputed.

And if those particular brutal and evil murders really are relevant to a history of the conflict, then why are we omitting the Avivim massacre and Ma'alot massacre? In each of those instances, Palestinian fighters stationed in Lebanon crossed the border and slaughtered Israeli children.

Those massacres had much to do with fomenting Israeli belligerence and paranoia, in regards to Lebanese-based Palestinians.

I like Chomsky. I love Fisk. I adore Ashrawi. But I'd never pretend that these wonderful minds are impartial minds: nor would they themselves describe themselves as impartial and objective. An anarcho-socialist may be fun to hang with at a party, but I don't want them writing our history.

The truth is, Israeli militarism is the product of profound fear. And there is no moral highground here.

No one ever talks about Sabra and Shatila, and ALSO Palestinian child-massacres. Everyone wants to have one without the other, but the whole truth is always an ambiguous place.

Gravatar What can I say, this needs to get some air-time more. I know, I know it wouldn't happen. Kudos to those who made it.

Gravatar Thank you for putting this video up on your site. Now, if you could just manage to get even a small portion of it on the propaganda mill-I mean network-news.....

I am sick to death of the lack of investigative journalism in this country, but TV news is sinfully disengaged.

Gravatar Sorry bobby, but it sounds as if you are the one who is out of their mind...

Gravatar I have been following the conflict for quite some time. I got interested in the conflict from a Christian theological perspective (I'm agnostic), but that rapidly changed into a concern for justice.

I have to say that this movie is the most concise and clearest I've seen on the conflict. If only it could get a wider screening. I believe Israel does what it does only because the US allows it to get away with it time after time. The peace movement really has to fight this propaganda war in US harder than it fights for Palestinian rights and peace in the Occupied Territories.

This movie only strengthened my belief that the path to peace in the Middle-east lies through Washington.

Gravatar It really is a sin that the american news network's take this pro Israeli stance, for all those american's who want a fair balanced view of this conflict I suggest you log on to the BBC news website, you will find that there are no sides taken here, just fair reporting, surely this is what true journalism should be about ?
