WTF is right. Did you find out if this was legal? Hey, I saw the Charlie Brown link on one of your comments--are you moving to our district? I think you're part of our Sacto group at the State Root Project. If you're moving to the area, we'd love to have you come to the Sacto Drinking Liberally events.

This is good stuff, Nate, and it's an important question to ask. Unfortunately, I think our national business model is something akin to Enron. Everybody loses but the fatcats at the top.
If John from C&L doesn't run with this, I'll see what I can do to bring it wider attention.

Great find, Nate. I had no idea the RNC was doing this and would be curious to know if the DNC does anything similar. I guess it's legal, but it's entirely unethical as far as I can see. You would think that they would check the law on this...but hell, the RNC and Bush have no regard for the law so who knows.
TRex - Big fan of FDL and your work! I agree, if John doesn't pick this up I'd love to see you give this story some bandwidth. More people on the left (Hello DNC?) need to see this and emulate it somehow.
