When I blogged about LIEberman's defeat in the primary I said his entire career had been a false flag operation, and used an old pirate frigate as my graphic. Back in the days of wooden ships pirates would hoist the flag of their intended victim from the mast, then get within range to deliver a devastating, point-blank broadside. The ensign would come down, the gunports open, and the pirates would 'show their true colours'. Even though I linked to a wikipedia article on 'false flag', I don't think more than a few people got my point. Blogging would be so much easier if people had some sense of history.
Isn't it amazing how Lieberman's biggest campaign issue was that he was the Democrat in the race. That is, right until the moment he wasn't.
