So true. And, there is an added bonus for the anonymous bloggers. We can make statements that have to be taken pretty much at face value. We get no added weight due to nice clothes, good looks, or prestigious positions. But we are not discounted due to prejudices against how we look, what we do, or what our "real world" social position might be.

10-4 on the "makes your life appear more interesting" thing. When I read blogs, I often start thinking "Damn, I wish I could have as much fun as this guy!" Then I realize oh yeah, this is my blog, oops. We usually fail to mention the boring, mundane, everyday crap that we all have to do, so through that well filtered little portal our lives do indeed tend to look a bit more interesting than they perhaps actually are. For me it's been quite enlightening actually, it's helped me to realize just how much fun I DO have, instead of dwelling on the boring day to day details all the time.
P.S. - More home improvements and such this weekend, then the spring inspection of The Old Dead Fish shall commence. If found seaworthy, which she's sure to be, then let the walleye pursuit begin. I've never had too much luck this early in the year myself, but maybe I'm just not using the right tactics. The walleye always seem to wake up more when the water warms up a tad, this time of year I'm always too busy pounding them damn red sided suckers off of my hook. Oh well, just a good excuse to take a float plane along in case the fish aren't biting. ;)

Justin, with my looks and social prestige, plus the way I dress, those fish are just begging for me to catch them. Ha Ha! We always make at least one trip in the spring with the expectation of getting our asses kicked. At least the water skiers are to candy assed to be out yet though!

Jigging is my personal favorite method for walleye.
You hit the nail on the head! That is exactly why I blog. Just to put my thoughts down and if someone happens to read them all the better.
