My only suggestion to deter aggressive salespeople, canvassers, and jehova's witnesses is to carry a large firearm and brandish it whenever necessary. No words, no shouting, no running - Just brandish MasterGun(R)

You mention Greenpeace kids and tweakers. How can you tell the difference between the two? Seriously? I hear the downtown library has a couple of over-dose deaths in the bathrooms on a regular basis. Like you say, I'll cross the street and avoid the bathrooms too. Sad really...

It's also bad business for Greenpeace. I know their group gets a bad rap sometimes but overall, I always thought of them as fairly respectable if rather enthusiastic. Now I just think of them as annoying.
