That was beautiful.

Gravatar Sorry your son is coming home later than you expected. I imagine he is getting home about now so I am sure you are feeling much better.

Is there any way to get the trolley out of the pond?

Gravatar I couldn't imagine 21 days without my boy so can imagine how tragic that call was. I'm hapy to think you're together again now.

Gravatar Beautiful. We just painted our sons room that colour. He chose it. Hope you had a nice weekend with your son.

Gravatar Oh Gianna! I hope that you had a lovely weekend together. 22 days! That is a very long time. You poor thing.

Gravatar ouch

bet he gets all the donuts

xxx

Gravatar That almost made me cry! So beautiful and heart breaking all at the same time. For all the bitching I do about never getting a break, being wiothout my whipperfsnappers for so long- I'd be climbing the walls! Hope you are all having so much fun.

Gravatar ah, thanks alot, guys...it did feel pretty torturous at the time, but things are back to normal now and it almost feels as if he never even left.
i wouldn't wish it on anyone though...

(ross, that photo is one in a series i took last year, which i just used here for illustrative purposes. there used to be half a dozen or so languishing in the same creek, which is only a couple of hundred metres behind the local Coles and Woolies, so it's hardly a job requiring TrolleyTracker.
in the end it took over six months before someone--the council? the supermarkets? Ian Kiernan??--finally got rid of them.
you know, i think my response to the boys was pretty lame. i would've liked to have gone back and written myself as giving them more of an earful, but truth is, the ducks were just the first thing that came to mind.)

Gravatar Oh this sounds tough. What a beautifully written post though.

Gravatar Hope the boy is chompin' through doughnut as I type this.

Gravatar "He loves to ration them out over a few days."

It may reward you to look into studies on emotional intelligence; the ability in children to delay gratification is a key indicator of high EQ in adulthood.
