Thankyou Joakim
I have lived with depression as a constant unwanted 'friend' for many years now. I simply don't fear it anymore and persevere through the times when I feel no joy. To ignore one's 'feelings' is essential in the healing process. It is not so much robotic as taking control of yourself despite what your 'feelings' are trying to dictate to you....Thanks for your comment Joakim I just wish depression would take the hint and NOT visit me at all LOL!
Thanks Elena
Depression is a very individual illness. So what may work for me may NOT work for others.
Thanks for your comments hon.
It is such a good observation. If you can't trust your feelings. Don't let them tell you what to do and don't do. It's not thinking positive or negative. It is acting like a machine and keep going. I love the metaphor of depression as a friend who can't take the hint's.
