A Pig's Tales

Gravatar Oh, and see, I don't want to deal with 4th graders after Christmas. My ideal window would be Christmas 3rd to Christmas 4th.

Maybe we should team up and start our own school. We just need to find some folk to fill in for those younger kids.

Gravatar Yes! And let's have the school years actually be calendar years. Then when you return from break, you get a whole new crop to begin the year anew. I like it. Let's eliminate testing too.

Gravatar The whole elimating testing thing would be grand! When I student taught in 4th grade this past fall, all they did was test prep - I imagine the kids would have been much more exciting without having to devote all their energy into multiple choice questions.

Gravatar You are so right! There is a huge changeover at Winter Break -- even in middle and high school -- 7th graders before Break are adorable little sweeties -- but afterwards are horrible hormone-driven hellions. Freshmen are goofy hormone-driven lunatics before Break, but afterward it is possible to see the human beings they will become.

Gravatar I'm really learning on the curve here. Much better than being around 6 behavior students ALL THE TIME. I love it this year.

Gravatar I actually tend not to like 4th grade classes that much. You tend to have half who are still children, and half who have turned into young adults, creating all kinds of drama and conflict.

Gravatar I can't stop LOLing about the Geico gag!

Gravatar It must be something that happens during "break"... I have a few who after "break" returned to school oblivious of all previous academic learning, appropriate behavior, and school rules. They couldn't understand why they can't use the restroom, go to the drinking fountain, or for that matter return to class after recess! Huh?!

Take Care!

Gravatar Save 20% with Geico? I thought it was 15%.

I guess I'm getting ripped off.
