As for gigtalkers. Well. You come across this kind of thing a lot in London. Some people go to gigs like others go down the pub; it's a normal evening out with mates. Hence, they're not interested in who's playing or anything. Went to see Badly Drawn Boy in Brixton one time, and he actually told a bunch of people to shut the fuck up or piss off if they weren't going to listen to him. Then he turned his amp up. It was good.
