It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye

I was an early adopter, but then I moved out to the country. Neither the s.o.'s cell phone nor mine was any use out here in the boonies. We even got other phones on loan to see if they would work. Nope! So now we are retro.

Oh you held out like me, and for even longer! Of course I consider myself an old hand now having had my mobile for all of three months- but I still nearly dropped it yesterday when I turned it on and it beeped and shook itself at me to tell me it had a message- I can't seem to get used to that, it's like you've got some small, live mammal in your hand and it has just unexpectedly woken up.

I've had it a week and a half now. It hasn't changed my life yet, though I do feel like a 'sell-out'.

Also, if you tell someone you have a mobile but don't then go on to give them your number do they feel snubbed?OR if you DO give them your number, and they haven't specifically asked, are you being pushy ?

Of course, it's a bit of a moot point as I don't actually know my number.
