It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye
I've been there... ditto incredibly naive girl full of hormones (plus a major dash of Catholic guilt), ditto SCFSB, ditto situation, ditto my reaction to situation, ditto my regret now at my reaction to situation... what I want to know is, why do people say "with the benefit of hindsight"? Sometimes, hindsight is not a benefit.
I could do with less running away as well. Or just getting better at decision making, and liking the choices that I've made.

I was going to say "Why on earth would you think that you're not worth it or deserving of it" (assuming I've not totally misunderstood your post).
But then a second later I remembered the general outline (not the details) of lots of times when I've made a similarly self-critical assessment of how unworthy I am of something.
And it's a dead heat there between Crinklybee and Gay Nazi Sex Vicar!
