It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye
I was going to wonder aloud (or, I guess, in print) why "Piano Man" never seems to be on karaoke lists. But I think it's the same reason they usually don't make "American Pie" available--it's so irresistably singable that everyone would do it. As the s.o.'s aunt was fond of saying to her children: First time's funny, second time's cute, third time's a whuppin'. 
What a great saying from the s.o.'s aunt - I think I'm going to adopt that. I love Piano Man, and you do have to sing along at the top of your voice - you just can't help it.
He's was at it again today.
I've still got "He's talking with Davy, who's still in the Navy..." rattling round in my head when I really should be concentrating on how many sprouts I need to buy and where I'm going to find that extra table space from...ah well, one more time..."Sing us a song, you're the piano man, sing us a song tonight..."
