What's all this "progress" crap anyway, when they've just taken your job off you? I don't know how they've got the nerve...
j, yes - even when i (rather pointedly *i* thought) reminded them that i am at the top of my scale and that there is nowhere else i can actually go to, in the current (new) scheme of things...the penny didn't seem to drop.
although, i have been told that one of "them" admired my honesty and thought it was funny when i said the reason i hadn't put any bits of paper in my ring binder yet is that i "can't be arsed".
