It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye

I love the way non-regulars break the tenseness of the journey home from work. *smiles*

Of course, I meant "tension" - sheesh.

Prince Caspian? Bloody hell, that takes me back. I loved that book - far better than Lion, Witch etc.

Used to do train commuting and found myself resenting non-regulars. Probably a sign it was time to quit.

Studying ethics when you don't know what 'compromise' means?
Some people just don't know when they're beaten.
btw - can confim the 50 thing.

"At registration this morning they were strangers; by the second coffee break allegiancies had formed; over lunch soul-mates bonded. Now, each reluctant to be the first to leave and break up the party, it's: "Oh, there's another train in fifteen minutes...I'll get that" and "Who wants another drink?"."

It's so like that isn't it. This time next week though they'll be avoiding eye contact in the lift.

If you ever do find out what 'fiduciary' means will you please be sure and let me know. My best stab would be 'oh, something to do with money. I think'.

jonathan - I know you can breach a fiduciary duty, but I don't know how you know if it's happened, or how bad it is.

backroads - there's nothing worse than thinking you'll never see someone again & then seeing them again.

kaz - i am glad about the 50 thing. 40's seem to be going slowly downhill!

malc - hello - you may have passed through only once never to return, but i've been visiting you & your pigs recently. 'Prince Caspian' indeed. I always liked 'The Silver Chair' best myself.

mr wib - there's no need for tenseness on any journey. as long as no one sits next to me and no one speaks to me. oh, unless they make a successful appeal to my better nature, of course.
