It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye

Write a list (or several) - that always makes me feel better. I'm sure you'll have a great time, and you won't be at work - that's got to make you feel good!

It's entirely natural to get anxious about going on holiday, I reckon. What if it's not fun? What if it's in fact a colossal waste of money? I think going on holiday is in fact very stressful -- but *being* on holiday is rarely that problematic. You'll know you're all right when you suddenly realise you're not sure what day it is...

Like jo says, it's completely normal. My anxiety about holidays is usually related to packing (will I remember everything?) and getting there (will I miss the train/plane/boat/whatever?).

But once you're on your way, you'll be fine I'm sure

i am feeling calmer now...and mostly packed. think the nerves stem from the amount of preparation that used to have to go into ensuring that family self-catering holidays were a success against the fact that now, as long as you've got your passport & a credit card, anything can be sorted out!
well, that plus 'what if all the stuff i've spent weeks & weeks planning is rubbish?'

I'm not going on holiday for another four weeks and I'm already getting anxious about it ...

hmmmm....so...is this holiday-anxiety-thing a girl-thing then?
