It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye

Aah.

Yes - finally. Only heard it a couple of times I'll let you know...

visiting via delrico bandido...

i flew aeroflot from london to sydney in 1990. it took 3 days and there were delays all along the way. 10 years later i watched a documentary series called 'airplaneski' and i truly wonder how i got home alive

Aeroflop - fuelled by vodka.

susan - hello - 1990 was about when I was doing the flying too, surviving 'aeroflot chicken' was seen as something of a miracle in itself.

Istvanski - I seem to remember I was a bit vodka fuelled myself, on the way back.

ahhh! aeroflot chicken, such a good memory part of my ticket included a one night stopover in moscow. the hotel served up a lovely piece of boiled chicken that a metal fork could not pierce. i'm positive i got the same piece of chicken was served as my dinner on the plane, accompanied by a plastic fork. as for vodka, i guess it was fitting that i flew home with aeroflot - i had spend the previous 3 months in london on a vodka fuelled drinking binge.
