Oh dear this brings back bad memories.
A boyfriend in the 60s bought me a cuckoo clock for Christmas. I was walking home so he said he'd look after it.
Then I finished with him. He said 'OK but I'll keep the clock'.
He seemed well pleased with the arrangement.
A majestic eagle sounds particularly nerve-shattering.
ugh, Mushaboom - really? TA bought me the album thinking I'd like it, but I thought it unbearable, particularly that one about a leisure suit. 
kaz, I can sort of see his point (depending on how old he was at the time). When I was seven I would've thought a cuckoo clock the best present ever!
Geoff - I can't work out whether the majestic eagle & cute robin cuckoo clocks still go 'cuckoo' or whether they make the 'appropriate' majestic eagle & cute robin sounds.
lisa - 'Mushaboom' is one of the best songs ever. Not sure that the rest of Feist quite lives up to it though.
