Oh dear indeed. There is a lovely clip on You Tube
("stone roses tv live") of Tony Wilson introducing the Stone Roses playing Waterfall. He starts with the admission that he previously had no time for the group, but was made to listen to a single which he absolutely loved; and then introduces them with this characteristic line " The Stone Roses - 1989 begins them with a complete admission of error on my part. Big apologies...."
