Did you know that the line though Blackburn that's now a dead end branch then terminates at Colne used to continue through to Skipton?
Dr Beeching closed it down in the 1960s.
Would probably be quite a useful line if it still ran today.

Tim, yes I did. I also believe there was/is some sort of local campaign to reinstate it. It would be very useful as far as I'm concerned.
