It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye |

You're right! And I did! They played Oxford last week. I was very grumpy about the venue, in fact I've got half a blog post lurking about it but the moment may have passed... but the band were brilliant. A touch ballady in places but when they rock, they really rock. Loved it. |

I was very surprised at how good the banter was, one of the few times I've laughed at loud between songs... |

Damn, bollocks and shit. |

Just listened to the record on Napster. They're not Thin Lizzy. |

They're a quite delightful band. I've seen them live a couple of times, and have been utterly enraptured. Hoping to catch them at one of the plethora of festivals I've somehow convinced myself to go to this summer. I won't even care if it rains. |

Excellent review, I was @ Manchester too, another glorious Elbow gig. At the Academy you often get people just out for a night making up the crowd but for this one I felt everyone was really into it. The "Mum Wave" was sweet and shows a band who are comfortable being just normal blokes. |
