Which Neuro do you use? I have such faith in Ethan's, and trust him. We have been on five different seizure medications, thus far and currently we have chosen to stay off them for now.
Ethan's seem to be triggered by heat, and long term pain. Who knows.
We have tried triliptal, that was the last one. Dr. Micheal Lloyd at PCMC was the one who prescribed it and it worked fairly well.
We have struggled through all kinds of medications and reactions. We have chosen to leave Ethan on an anti-psychotic, that is also used at times for seizures.
I am so so sorry for this plight. I can't abide seizures and that is something I swear I can't handle. Anything but that.
I hope you get some answers. I love our local Ped. He rocks.
He called the other day out of the blue just to check on Ethan, because I had called about him having leg cramps.
We have determined, that they were a side effect of Abilify, and have now taken him back off of that.
Good luck to you my dear!
I owe you lunch!

Some days are just so damn hard...and so you NEED to cry when you run. Or in my case, since I'm not allowed to run at the moment, cry when I sit on the couch watching Biggest Loser and eating Ben and Jerry's, knowing my tears run a hell of a lot deeper than what I see.

Aw Mel, I'm so sorry. I hope your Neurologist can help figure out some way to help Crew. I'm sure it's heartbreaking on many levels and my heart goes out to you.
I know you have your big marathon coming up this weekend. The most cathargic marathon I ever had was the one where I let it all out over those 26.2 miles. My mind, my heart, my everything was spilled on those 26 miles of paved road. Sounds like it's just about the right time for the marathon to come for you.
Big hugs from afar. Good luck!

Life can be so tough some times, mel I'm so sorry. I don't know what is involved in what you are going through. My hope and prayer for all of you is that the doctors will have the wisdom and inspiration they need to help you do whatever is best for Crew.
Sometimes crying and praying is all we can do.
Hugs.

Hang in there, how blessed Crew is to have you for his mommy. BTW, the pics of him are adorable! It is so frustrating when we have to put our trust in the dr.'s and pray they know what they are doing. I know how you feel re. that. You are in my thoughts, Erica

Seizures and tears go together, eh?
Take care of that knee, ya hear?
When it comes to meds, only the physicians can help. Hope you can trust yours.
Good supportive commenter-friends here. Thank goodness.
