love the movie. it's one of my favorites. allen may or may not have known what he was saying. i highly doubt that he didn't- however, i am going to go out on a limb and say that he probably professes to be a christian in the bible belt. i have a feeling that god frowns on calling other folks derogatory names. you don't have to be p.c. to be polite. he could have expressed his frustration without resorting to racial slurs. not only that- but he also was taping webb's speeches- so isn't it a bit hypocritical. if he wants to run for president- he better get a whole lot more sensitive to folks of color- because you have to govern the whole country and white folks are losing their majority here in america according to the last census.

A huge mistake on George Allen's part. This will haunt him during the current campaign and in future campaigns as well.
