Comment on In the Middle of America

Hi G.

You've voiced some pretty scary thoughts here.

I'm not leaving out the possibility that Iran already has some nukes, courtesy of NKorea.

Do you think, besides an obvious affection for playing "fearless leader", George make-the-rest-of-the-world-like-us-whether-they- want-it-or-not Bush is working behind the scenes with Israel to take on Iran? Maybe Syria too?

AND - could that be the reason to keep the troops close by?

Gravatar I think that there is much more to Bush's sudden staunch decision to keep troop levels in Iraq at the current size than is being told via press conference and MSM... but, I'm a bit of conspiricy theorist at times.

Gravatar When it comes to the Middle East, and your current administration, I'm not a bit surprised.

I'm just hoping to keep my head down...

Gravatar Thanks for your comments at my blog, I left a couple of replies.

If the Administration thinks a war in Iraq is tough, just wait till they try attacking Iran or North Korea.

I don't think we can defeat Iran or North Korea without using nukes, or a field army of 800,000 troops.

It was reported by Sy Hirsch last March that there are war plans for Iran that include using nukes.

Gravatar I dont think we're planning on going to war with either one. I think the exercises we're doing in South Korea are to warn the North to keep the peace and play nice if things start to get crazy somewhere else in the world.

And I think that Iran might be thinking of going aggresive.

Remember, Hezbollah is their pupput, and does not attack or defend without express direction from Iran. I think we may be seeing a larger campaign by Tehran to start moving in the Mid-East. Their new president thinks of himself as THE leader in the Muslim world, and he thinks it is his duty to bring it, especially Israel, under the umbrella of Islam.

Lastly, note the stepped up rhetoric from Iran about the Holocaust being a "fairy tale", and "Israel can be wiped off the map".

I'd watch this one with interest. Also....

Note today that Iran suddenly says their ready to talk about the nukes again... right after Bush's sudden change of heart about Iraq? I think there is much more afoot than we're seeing.

Gravatar all i know is that there was some rhetoric from hate radio that said that if the dems win- bush will go to war with iran and syria right before he leaves office. i don't think anyone wants more war over there- but all sides have to sabre rattle. this on the heels of bush saying in remarks that iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. maybe some truth will start to filter out- but i won't hold my breath. i don't trust any of them in washington- period. however, i can't see more war being in anyone's best interests. not even the hawks. that's the closest to optimistic i can get was that a long post?
