You're off-base; the middle class receives most of the benefit of the taxes they pay, through a host of entitlements that benefit them directly.
Furthermore, the wealthy are only able to accumulate large sums of money through the system we, the voters, provide them in terms of banking, securities, and a regulatory environment that makes it possible for them to accumulate and secure their wealth. The wealthy also benefit directly from the benfits of an educated and stable middle class.
You forgot greed! Anyone who opposes any tax is greedy, too, according to Dean and the liberals.
