Sometimes I do intervals where I run at speed 10 for a minute then walk at speed 3 for a minute, every minute for about a hf hr. Other times i will literally run at 6 for an hr and burn around 700 calories. Both seem to tire me out and feel great but I hear mixed things all the time as to which is better, i know alot of people dont realize when they run that they are being counter productive so that is why i am asking. I just want to get skinnier. period. Im healthy, i eat well and am not over weight just a small gut and a bit flabby. What should I be doing. I run, regardless of what way, 5 times a week. Intervals or fat burning long runs? Ive read that when your heart rate gets over about 160 (which mine does when doing the intervals but no when i run at 6 for an hr) you are no longer burning fat, is this true? |
