I have a question. Being Latina it breaks my heart that I don't have a super curvaceous figure. I have a nice booty but that's about it. I have no waist and have broad shoulders, it drives me insane. I've got great legs and a nice booty but I don't feel feminine b/c of my shoulders and no waist. Do you have any exercises that might help acentuate my waist? I can't do anything about my shoulders so if I can work on a nice waist... I think it detracts and might add to the "cinching" visually. I have at least 80 lbs. to lose and I'm scared to do crunches, weight training etc. b/c a trainer told me that it will bulk me up and I will look bigger and it would be harder to lose weight. This is an O.K. workout plan and since you're a beginnger - you're going to see results pretty fast anyway but my only concern is that you may be overtraining so...

I would just do 5-to-8 sets of 5-to-10 reps of the pullups, dips, and p-ups but each set (if you can) try to add moe resistance by adding weight with a weight vest and if you can't add weight - just stick to 10 reps but you will eventually have to add weight (resistance) if you want more muscle and instead of crunches... Do the six pack ab workout here and once this workout gets too easy or boring...

Hey, how are you doing? Im 19 years old, 5'9 tall, 173 pounds and your BF% said I have 14% body fat. Id like to get a toned/lean body like Paul Walker does from Into The Blue in about 2 weeks. I was thinking about just doing bodyweight workouts like pull ups, crunches, push ups and dips then some cardio at the beginning or end. I also have some creatine and protien and a colon cleanse.

How would you put a workout routine using those workouts to get a body like his? I saw other people had bodyweight workouts as well... Could I just use one of those? If so, which one would be the best to use? I dont mind if I gain more muscle than paul walker has.

Hey, I have a question. Im 5'10, 170 pounds. Ive never really worked out or anything and I want to start. I really only want to get cut and lean. Would this workout routine work?
Its kind of confusing but Id do 3 sets and 10 reps. Then after that 3 sets I would do another 3 sets but this time id do 9 reps. The reps would keep going down one until I cant do anymore.
I'd do pull ups, dips, push ups and crunches then 10 minute cardio.
I'd do this plan 3 times a week.

Does this sound like a solid workout to do to reach my goal?

I have been doing skipping .. i do some standing exercise which puts more pressure on my upper thights and toes .. hands.. and few exercise by sleeping on the floor.. this I do to reduce my tummy and thights again .. and the exercise you suggested me that is pushing my tummy in..

I also notice that any tension or deep thoughts ( sad thoughts or quarrels for silly things) make me look huge the next day .. i was under depression so i was under pills for somtime.. i m not using them anymore.. I am an Indian .. so few of frnds suggested me to intake only chapathi for my lunch or dinner.. i did the same.. it work .. but back to bad shape again in few days .. i also have white oats .. and lime juice.. salads yet times.. ( sorry its too long ) .. pls help me out to becomg a little skinny .and back in shape..

Hello Adrian, I found your site by accident, or maybe fate who knows. Here is a little tiny history. I am 34, weigh 230lbs and am 5.6 feet tall. I have belly fat from two kids. I have walked and run and gone to the gym, I take the Power weigh class and the spinning class. I haven't been in awhile. Last summer I lost 15 lbs doing the power class and running a mile a day. Somewhere I lost my chi and now I am frustrated. I have my 1o year anniversary party in september and want to look good. I can't find the motivation inside myself. I just look at my belly and shake my head. I can run a mile in 14 minutes. I want to run a 5k by the end of the year but I sometimes just can't make myself go get on the treadmill or go to the gym. I am about a size 18 and would like eventually to be a 12 like I was when my husband met me. Do you have anything inspiring to suggest to me? I also do not sit around eating unhealthy all the time. I eat cereal and milk for breakfast, lunch is a half of an avocado with some whole grain crackers and maybe some popcorn or yorgurt, and dinner is chicken, fish or some kind of family meal. I do not eat seconds and do not eat overly large portions. I also do not eat past 7pm. And I guess I hope I haven't made this too long...but I hope you have something good to get me going. I am going to try to get on the treadmill today. Thanks a bunch!

This "blowing up" may be water retention - have you seen how to lose 5 pounds in days - it tells you how to lose water weight fast and then it tells you how to keep your water weight in check after you lose it.

I'm not too sure that I follow the 10lbs plan. Its telling me to eat more than I am now so not sure if I can get my head round that!

YES - you'll lose weight on the 3-to-4 weeks plan but I think you'll lose more on the last 10 pounds plan since it'll be a new shock for you & your body

basically - all you need to do is do the exact same thing you did to lose 36 pounds except for...

Running for 60 minutes - it's obivous to me that your body is used to running and it's not burning as many calories when you run so...

just simply switch to another exercise and do it for 60 minutes but you may be able to lose weight faster by doing one of these workouts and...

As for you gaining weight back - what exactly did you do after you lost 36 pounds the first time to maintain your weight?

I weigh 63kg and am 5'3.Im an 18 year old girl. My BMI is 24.5. This is an ideal weight (apparently!). But, I believe that the starting BMI for an overweight person is 25 and I’m very close to this! I’m trying to lose weight for my birthday party coming up in a month’s time. But I find it really difficult to do exercise; in fear of not doing it right and also because I’m very unfit! Have you heard of the "10,000 steps a day" plan? Apparently, One must walk 10,000 steps a day (brisk walking) to lose weight/maintain (not sure) and live a healthier life as it’s very good for the heart. However I read somewhere that this plan isn’t suitable for overweight if they wish to lose some weight. According to them, overweight people cannot lose weight with this plan. What do you think about this? I have no problem in doing exercise in terms of walking. I can limit my calorie intake to about 900-1200 calories a day if I have to as well, but is brisk walking enough for me to lose weight in a month? How much do you think I could lose? I did about 45mins of brisk walking today and it only came up to about 4050 steps  (perhaps my pace is too slow 

I cried myself to sleep last night because I have been doing interval training exercise for about two weeks and also kept my calorie intake within 1000 and I have not seen any difference at all. My face still looks huge and my love handles are sticking out like there’s no tomorrow. It might be ridiculous for me to expect to see results so soon, but I have friends who are slimmer than me trying to lose weight and I have seen a difference in them. Why doesn’t anything work for me? This is why I have resorted to walking cos there’s no point in doing other exercises if I’m not going to see results like my friends.

If you don't make a real drastic cut in calories like eating 500-to-800 calories a day then... Your metabolism won't slow down

You really don't have to do that much weight training - You can reach your goal mainly by doing intense manly cardio 3-to-4 times a week

I have been working out like crazy the last two wks. with powerwalking, & doing Total Body workout classes at the gym and switched to the diet you suggested on your website of eating 5 smaller meals a day with protein and I am starting to feel my clothes getting loser but there is only one problem. Hi adrian..my prom is coming up in about 5 weeks. I want to look slimmer for it. I am an 18 year old female weighing 136lbs and height 5’2.
I have started doin the following excercises...
Running/jogging (40mins) – 260cals
Trampoline (20mins) – 70 cals
Skipping/rope jumping (30mins) – 325cals
I run first thing in the morning..do trampolining around 3pm.. and skipping around 6pm..
I am also having 3 litres of water a day..

Thats around 195 – 295 per meal every 2-3 hours
I am also making sure I follow these rules below:

Can whey protein be supplement to breakfast? Should I drink whey protein immediately after I wake up in the morning (which is right before I work out) or wait until after the workout?

Go here to see how many calories you need to eat to lose 1-to-2 pounds a fat per week and once you see how many calories you need - divide that by 4 meals and you can drink the whey protein before meals but remember to include that in total calorie count for the day - other than that...

Morning:
Run a minute, walk a minute, repeat for 20 minutes. Do no weight lifting.
(3 days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Night:
-30 Minutes of steady jogging on treadmill.
-15 Minutes of full circuit training
-20 Minutes of Lifting
(Every day of the week)

Extra:
-Eat 4 meals a day (3-4 hours apart, around 400-500 calories each)
-Drink Whey Protein before every meal
-Drink Lots of Water
-Take Triple-Tea (White, Green, & Black Tea) Fat Burner Pill

I just wanted to let you know that i have only done the exercises for 3 days (taking break from them til next week now) and i have lost 1 inch from the love handle area and 1/2 inch from my waist now the area around my love handles is 32 1/2 inches and my waist is 27 inches OH ALSO the thing where you hold your tummy in during the day has been a miracle for me mine looks so much flatter now AND JUST FROM A FEW DAYS!!!! I AM AMAZED!!! It always looked pudgy and just out there not now it looks AWESOME!!!Sorry i am SHOUTING i am just so happy!!!! Basically, I've decided i need to lose weight and get my fitness levels up.

Ive been looking at HIIT, I'd probably be doing it on a stationary bike.

Just wondering if its ok to jump straight into a schedule along the lines of 3-4 mins warm up, 30 seconds "sprint", 30 seconds slower for about 8 mins then cooling down... or should i start off easier?

I am female 33 years old i am 5' 5" and i weigh 119 pounds i never had love handles in my life until about my 6th month of pregnacy with my 5th child i also got up to my biggest weight ever of 129 lbs ( i was 115 before) Now i am down to 119 but i still have the horrible love handles how do i get rid of it? Are your shoulders muscular? if so... then the best way to lose shoulder muscle is to stop doing shoulder exercises or limit activities where you use your shoulders and...

If your shoulders are not that muscular then you have to just simply lose weight all over your body to see the reduced shoulder effect

I am so glad I found your site. I want to get a summer body so I can hit the the beach come summertime.
I don't want to lose weight. I just want a tiny waist BUT I've noticed that whenever my waist gets smaller my bottom (butt) shrinks too.

Also, I work in an office. I move around a lot but I sit in the swivel chair at my desk a lot too. I don't have access to gym equipment.

Here are my questions:
1. Can I really trim my waist while leaving my breasts and butt alone?
2. Can I do the TVA exercises sitting/lying down
3. What exercises do you recommend that I can do while at work that will give me the results I want?

I need to loose around 60 pounds and I have read what I should and shouldn't eat. My problems are; I work full time (my commute is 45 min. each way), go to college and take care of everything at home (I don't have children) so I don't have time to prepare meals. Are there any good microwave or prepackaged foods that I can eat instead. And the second problem is I hate most vegetables, the only ones I can eat without gagging are;cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, corn, tomatoes (fresh), mixed greens, squash (fried). And the only dressing I can stand is ranch; I do like Lite Done Right and some other low cal. ranch dressings but I have tried most fat free ranch and those are just nansty.
Any suggestions.
