I'm really feeling sad today. I've been on your diet for two weeks. The first week I lost 6 pounds and I was so excited, but this week nothing. I have been following the plan as I was the first week. However, there has been a few minor changes. I'm back to work now, so the last meal of the day is around 8:00. Should I just start skipping that meal? Also, after I eat the fruit and drink the why protein a couple of time I didn't eat anything else, because I wasn't hunger. Does this hurt the program? In my mind, I thought if anything it would speed up the weight lose process. I have been excercing 5 days a week, which is new for me. I go to the gym and do intervals for 30 minutes every morning. In miles the distance is 1.90 usually with a 2.0% grade. My heart rate stays between 123-150. I tried your workout, but I have some problems with impacting from jumping. Please respond as soon as possible I really want to lose weight.

The atkins diet is a good diet to start on but it's better to go on a diet & workout plan like this one here and pick "LAZY" as activity level to speed up weight loss and...

Instead of going on a only protein diet like the atkins (which is a good diet for fast weight loss by the way) - It's best to do the diet plan I suggested and just eat higher protein diet where 40-to-50% of your calories are proteins but you can do the atkins and succeed as well but...

Your success or longer term success on atkins all depends on how long you can stay on the diet before getting very bad carb cravings

Does it matter if you mostly eat raw fresh fruit for the two fruits/veggies prior to the whey protein drink or should it be a mix of both fruit/veggies or mostly veggies? Hi, I am 26 and I had twins 6 months ago via c section and my stomach has not gone all the way down yet. I have alot of lose skin also. How can I get rid of it? Also I have pregnancy weight to lose all over (about 40 lbs), I cant seem to get it off. What can I do? Besides my stomach i also really need to lift my breast back up. Thank you for the tip Adrian. I do have another question about resistance training routines. I know that it is best to confuse my muscles so that they don't plateau. One week I focus on light weights and higher repetitions. Then the next week I'll focus on lifting heavy doing the same exact exercises as the prior week, yet with fewer reps. You have a cheat day but I prefer on your cheat day you limit yourself to maybe 1-to-2 cheat meals and stay on your diet for the rest of the meals for the cheat day but having said that...

If you just started your diet - only have a cheat day once every 2-to-3 weeks and once you've gotten into the diet habit then you can cheat once a week but no matter what you decide to do on your cheat day...

You shouldn't expect any drastic weight gains

Adrian, Hello again. I was wondering if you could give me any suggestions to my problem with the upper body. I have been doing a Total Body workout class since April, 3 days a week with exercises being switched off every other week to target all areas of the body and the problem is that my lower body seems to be getting very toned but the upper body is not. I was just wondering if you could give me some tips about weight loss around the stomach area. I'm in pretty good shape, play tennis everyday at high level for 2-3hrs. I also have pretty strong core which used to be really defined. I used to work out on and off (3months on, 3 off) but have been gyming for past 6 months now. However, the definition in my abdominal area has gone down. The obliques are a problem as well. I don’t really want bigger abs, just a slimmer waist and more definition. My diet has been really good the past couple of months, but still not seeing great results. Are there any specific exercises I can do that burn fat around that area rather than strengthen the abs?

BMI doesn't work for everyone b/c It's important to remember that... You could have a high BMI but be at a weight that is considered healthy if you're muscular or athletic so for example...

A bodybuilder like arnold schwarzenegger in his prime would be considered Overweight if he had his BMI measured

At a ideal BMI can a person have about 30%(very high)body percentage fat. Doesnt your BMI reflect the fat percentage also? As in, if you have a high percentage of body fat, how can u have an ideal BMI?

Online body fat calculators (even the one here at NowLoss.com) are only going to give you at best "estimates" and are not very accurate and the hospital test you did was probably an electric impedecne test which is one of the least accurate ways to test bodyfat % and...

If you want the cheapest way to get a more acuurate body fat %... Do a caliper test and pinch at least 3 sites on your body (usually back of arm, belly, and back for women) and the more sites you have pinched the more accurate you'll get but the 3 site caliper test is more accurate than any online or machine test.

I has a query about my body fat percentage.

the nowloss website gives us a calculation of body fat (http://www.nowloss.com/online-body-fat- percentage-calculator.htm#fat) and according to that my body fat percentage is 15.48% and that is very low fat. I have also checked out other websites which calculate the Body fat percentage and they also pegged it at about 15.5 %. According to the navy method, my fat percentage is about 17% which is again low fat.But,today i went to a health center and they measured my body fat on some machine and said it was 29.5%. My BMI is 20.4. So every website tells me that i have ideal weight but the machine says that i have a 29.5 % of body fat. Is it possible to have ideal BMI and still have 29.5% ( very high) body fat?
I am very confused as to what to believe. My Basal metabolic rate is 1370 Kcal.

I am female and aged 26years.

Could you throw some light on these contradictory findings.

You're not doing anything wrong and from what you've told me - you're doing everything in the video and you have to remember...

The people in the Tae-Bo videos are exercising in a studio under "hot studio lights" which may also make them sweat more but overall...

Although Sweating may be an indicator of workout intensity - You did say you could "feel it" the next day so I wouldn't worry about how little you're sweating and most importantly...

If you're seeing results - DON'T Sweat it! (Pun intended)

It seems to me that you want someone else "rather than YOURSELF" to tell you that your lower abs LOOK GOOD and I can't do that for you.

You'll have to decide for yourself if your lower abs look good enough to "NOT" train them or if they need more work but...

If you say you're already lean then chances are - you probably don't have much belly fat at all and you're just overstressing the minor imperfections and...


You can still do the lower ab exercises here if you're still worried about your lower ab area

If you're on a "weight loss diet" then muscle gain should be minimal and if you've never done these type of exercises before then YES... you may also gain some muscle weight but you also don't have to worry too much about getting HUGE BULKY bodybuilder legs and....

You can also use lighter weights if you're concerned about gaining big muscles and...

An ideal weigh range for you is 104-to-127 pounds but that's based on insurance companies charts and I would go here and get a second opinion on that

I'm not going to say that YOU CAN't lose weight but I will say You will lose weight at a much slower rate simply because you are not overweight and your weight is in the normal range.

As far as your diet goes - I see nothing wrong there but whenever someone who isn't overweight wants to lose weight - low intensity exercises usually won't help them lose weight (it will help them maintain weight) so...

You need to do higher intensity workouts Like this workout here to lose your last 10 pounds and along with all the advice I just gave you...

At your weigh and height - you already LOOK GOOD so unless they're making you lose weight so you can get the acting job - I wouldn't focus on losing 20 pounds and a smarter thing for you to do in my opinion... You're probably not doing anything wrong - it just takes time to lose those last pounds of fat covering your abs and first of all...

So here is the question:
I am 5'7/ 145 lbs and 24 yrs. I want to loose about 10-15 pounds. I eat very healthy (fruits, vegetables, lean meats, low fat dairy, fish, some whole grains like oatmail etc..)and i do weigth training for an hour 2-3 times per week. Other days i just do a little bicycling with low intensity for 30 min.
I eat around 1200 kcal a day is that too less???

Hello I am 32 years old 5'2" tall and weigh 220lbs. I have tried several different methods to lose weight to no avail. At my wits end, I have made an appointment to discuss gastric banding surgery. I have not made a decision yet, but it was looking like the only option I had left until I stumbled across this web site. I have read lots of valuable information that I hope will be useful. I have had problems with my weight since my second child and have struggled with depression and stress issues since I gained the weight. My only problem is finding motivation. I train for half marathons and marathons (have done 10 in total now) but even with the amount of running I do every week, I cannot seem to lose weight too quickly. I used to do strength training as well but have stopped it in the last few months. Any good advice?
