Hello Adrian, Hello everyone!I have watched many of your videos on self help with working out different areas of the body and i want to say thank you for putting such great useful workouts that actually work!! i live in a city...where no gyms do work out... i hav d same problem of small ankels nd big calg,,,suggest sum excercise which i can perfrm at home and diet as well...to lose mah calf muscles..nd get sexy legs..as bcause of that..i cant wear most of d dresses...which mah frnd wear nd luk great wid sexy legs !!!

When doing calf raises, will it help to build calves faster if we do more repititons ??? Lyk instead of doing 15-30, will it be better if v do it 90-120?????

I am 12 yrs old and i am in d sports club of my skul. We do quite an extreme workout to strengthen our leg muscles (so dt v can run)
I've been doin all d calf raises jumps, squats, nd all types of exercises; my calf muscles have toned bt dey rn't noticeable, so i jst wnt 2 noe st if i need 2 do extra exercises and how much more tym will it take 4 me to make my calf creases noticable......

You can do 4sets of single leg calf raises for the shorter calf and 1-2 sets for the bigger calf to attempt to even them out

I was the same way when I was your age but you know what...
everybody has one arm / one leg that is bigger than the other and guess what...
nobody else can really tell!! so take my adivce and... dont worry too much about it

since i was young my right calf is very noticably bigger than my left calf, i am very paranoid about this especially when i go out at night when i wear skirts, could you give me some advice as to tone up my left calf or loose weight in my right calf so as to have them the same size or near to the same size

Hey there!!! You werent kidding when you said ASAP!!! I'm going to start working on my toes tommorow!!! I have really thin calves so wish me luck ne other exercice suggestions that would work towards getting thicker bottom legs (calves and ankels)and how long do you think I would see some results

The calf is ONE muscle really and there is no inner or outer parts but what you can try is this...
You can vary your feet postion by pointing your toes out or in at 45 degree angles to target inner or outer areas

I am natually very slender (5'7" 110lbs) I've tried to build the inner part of my calves with no luck during my 25 years of existance... I realize most calf exercises work both parts equally, so do you have any suggestions for targeting the inner part specifically?

i have cuhbby calves i want to tone... not really FAT but more on the chubby side.
im 16 5'4,and 160 but toned and dont look like i weigh so much and go to the gym 3 to 5 times a week and practice yoga and kickboxing.
my calves aren't skinny, can i still get the toned 'bump' at the top??

You can get away with waling on your toes everyday but I don't think it'll produce any faster results but to get faster results...
walk on your toes while holding weights for 5-to-15min 2-to-3 times a week.

Are your calves mostly muscular or fat?
Like most people - your calves are probably mostly muscular so really the only thing you can do to reduce your calf size is NOT TRAIN or do any exercises for them and hope they atrophy (shrink) from non-use

Hello,
My calves are so large I have to buy very wide leg jeans. I had bypass surgery 5 years ago and lost over 100 pnds. My body looks great for the most part except my calves are just as large as my thighs, I have been told to try calf lifts holding on to a chair with no weights. I am desperate not to have liposuction on them, due to not being able to buy jeans that will fit around my calves. They fit very tightly and feel as though circulation is being cut off. Thats very hard to do when your body is a size 4. Stretch jeans look hidious. Its very embarassing for me I have a great hour glass figure small waist line but my legs are shameful. They are huge. Can you please give me some advise I have been seeking for years.

The only thing you can do to reduce "fatty" calves is to keeep losing overall body fat and for muscular calves - the best thing to reduce your calves is to do no exercise at all or if possible...
stay off your feet to allow your calves muscles to atrohy or shrink from non-use

The kind of cardio you're doing shouldn't affect your calf building goals and since your calves are already toned...
Have you tried doing the calf walk exercise while holding dumbbells and...
Try walking on your toes longer while holding weights or even try walking on your toes all thru-out the day (without using weights of course) so you can make your already good-looking calves more sexier

I am 5.9 and 153 pounds. I work out everyday from 45 minutes cardio to 40 minutes weight lifting daily.But I really have a problem with toning my calves and I have tried the home workouts. Do you have any other suggestions. Please help!!

I think the problem you're facing is minor and you shouldn't worry about it - Everybody - even myself -have bigger right calf than my left side and...
It's only really noticable to me and not to other people

For a few months now I've been training my calves. On my left leg, one of the muscles is bulkier than the one on the right leg (I thinkk that it's called the Gastrocnemius muscle), howeverr, the line that you get on your calves at the side of them (I thinkk that it's called the Soleus muscle) is bigger on the right leg. I've tried to exclude my left leg in calf exercises but the Gastrocnemius muscle on my right leg just won't tone up! and then there's the problem that the Soleus on my right leg will become even bigger.
When I stand on my tip toes my left leg's Gastrocnemius is quite bit more toned and the bigger Soleus on my right leg is too!
What can I do? =S =S

Please understand that If you have big calf muscles that are mostly muscular - the only thing you can do to reduce your calf size is NOT TRAIN or do any exercises for them and hope they atrophy (shrink) from non-use so...
For cardio workouts - you may want to foucs on swimming and the elliptical machine instead of treadmills or running since they work your calf muscles.
