Marie,

Sure it can! Stress makes your body realease a "weight gaining - muscle losing" hormne called cortisol that mainly makes you gain belly fat

and if you couple that with inactivity and bad eating habits you're creating a recipe for weight gain and by the way...

The cortisol that's released from your STRESS causes you to eat unhealhty

Just find a way tofight stress and then go to NowLoss.com and find an easy weight loss program you can use

I have been in a stressful on and off again relationship for close to 3 years now. When i started dating I was about 225 at 5"8 and now I'm at 255. Can this help cause weight gain along with not being as active and eating unhealthy?

I lost 60 lbs successfully. I didn't stop eating. I learned to eat better. I excercised. I currenlty choose to keep the same practices that worked for me. I have chosen not to go back to any bad eating habits.
I over came cravings and all that stuff. I don't have a problem with apetite control. I don't over eat.
Yes, I still need to lose more, only my body doesn't getit. 344 is where I started. I juice, I eat fruit and veggies. My glucose is normal, I drink water. NO soda. No sugar. minimal carbs mabye three times a week.
I have heart failure so my excercise is limited. And I had to limit water intake due to fluid build up. I don't believe injumping from diet to diet. I just stay on my plan of eating better.
I cut out dairy. no cheese.
I don't have high cholesterol. Never had that. Basically I have done all the recommended things.
It worked for a period and now as if my body refuses to go on, it just won't. What can I do?

You probably heard this before but I'm going to say it anyway...

"YOU DON'T NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!'

You're already beautiful and I can tell that by not looking at you but...

To answer your question - you're struggling to lose weight because you don't have too much to lose -it's as simple as that but...

the best way I can help you is to direct you to this page here:

Instead of losing weight you may want to focus on toning up more if you're really that self concious:

I've recently been on the Atkin's diet for about 3 months. I've lost about 10 pounds but can't seem to lose anymore. I added exercise to my diet and lost about two more pounds but I'm stuck. I'm about 120 pounds now but I'd like to be about 110. i want to try another diet because I want to lose more weight and Atkins is apparently unhealthy but the minute I eat carbs my weight starts to rise. Can i stay on my Atkin's diet and lose more weight?
