how's your diet?


Well I'm 12 years old and I weigh 158lbs. And I only look like I'm 120. My mom says it's musule but she's not gonna tell me I'm fat right? I am very active and hate being inside I skateboard every day and run around the block 30 laps every day as training for basketball I'm on a traveling team and I'm still fat!!!HELP!!!

I really wanna lose about 15 pounds fast.I'm classified as healthy by my doctors and the bmi chart but i really wanna lose weight and am really confused because my parents say it's dangerous to do a calory diet of 1000 to 1300 calories a day like i was doing. i used to work out but was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabites and i dont feel well alot of the time to work out though i do sports every year allso.Please, what is a diet that will bring me down to 115 healthely?

I am quite tall,
5 foot 11,large build/skeleton,
I sort of have muscle definition in my calves but the rest of my body is quite flabby,oh and I weigh 200 pounds,my BMI is 28,I went to my doctors just 2 days ago and she said
I was in a healthy range,this is hard to believe,when most BMI charts say I am overweight.
I train 5-6 days a week but recently my weight has stopped coming off,so just recently I have introduced interval running sessions on the treadmill into my mornings if I kept doing this how long do you think it would take me to lose 3 and a half stone/50 pounds,which is my goal,my goal is to get down to 150-155 pounds,
I also drink protein shakes.....

I am about 5'4 and my current weight is about 187, now i know i need to lose about 50 pounds or so, just 3 years ago i was wearing a size 7/8 and now i am wearing a 13...The problem is i know i have lost some of my weight, i can see it in the breast area, and my thighs. Your ideal weight is the weight you are comfortable with but even at that...

you should only worry about how you look overall b/c for example...

you can be 200 pounds but still look like you weigh 150 pounds so dont focus too much on weight

First I want to commend you on all the help that you have given on this site to people and that it is a wonderful site! I had lost over 50 pounds almost three years ago but since then I have put on about twenty again. Your site has me convinced that I can do it quickly to lose the twenty I put back on and then some to get to my own personal goal. It is just a numbers game now with a little hard work and I can do it.

My question is this. According to this weight chart on the high end I am suppossed to weight in at 143. I am 5'6 3/4" female and I am 35. I have rather large breasts. Much larger than average. I did go to my doctor and ask him what my weight should be because of this and he told me 155 would be my OPTIMUM weight. You see now matter how much I lost before my breasts only went down in size a little bit. They have been extremely large since I was a teenager so I guess that this is just how they are. I do not want to have any kind of surgery and I am psyched to try your pec flye at home exercise with the dust rags to see how that works for me. Do you think that this is a correct weight for me? Im a little older than the people who have commented on this page but I need some help and I cant find it with my doctor.
Im 26 yrs old and have 4 children ages 21 month-9 yrs old.
I got hypo thyroid after my 3rd pregnancy about 4 yrs ago. I weighed 160 lbs and Im only 5' 2".
I went on a low carb diet and managed to lose up to 137 but then I had my 4th child and was still ok, only 10 over but lost it for not so much a good way (depression) So now im better and I have gained since (between the 22 months) 15lbs which I jsut cant lose. I havent changed my eating much but I have changed one thing. I go walking/jogging 2 miles every day except weekends. I have not lost 1 lb and been doing this for over 2 months now. What else can I do????

I'm 17 years old and i just stepped on the scale and it reads 106.4. I am currently 5'4. My weight is usually around 102-107. I just got done eating dinner, so i dont know if that would be correct? i know your suppose to weigh yourself in the morning, but my mother did a BMI calculator on my brother and that says hes obese. Someone can workout forever and have soild abs but if you have a layer of fat still on top of the abs you won't show the six-pack.

Doesn't that mean either doing more cardio or losing more weight to the abs show? I don't believe there is such thing as spot losing?

I'm a 5'8 42 yrs old male. I go to the gym about 4 to 6 days a week. Weight train and do about 40 minutes of cardio on treadmill a day.
I'm pretty toned/muscular with a medium frame. I'm at 174 pounds but still can grab about a inch of fat on the front of my lower abs at about belly button level.

I've been told I look good and a few people have said I don't need to lose anymore weight but I want sixpack abs and no lil inch of fat I can grab around the mid section.
At 42 yrs young with at my height and frame does 158 sound safe?
